To Minimise your purchases and if you can find 5 Packs and 8 Packs and if you want to 'grab them 'Mall'' Then These are the numbers to go for
as the others exist in multi-packs too and if you buy the singles they have numbers written on them that isn't always the case with the multi-pack versions - so multi-pack is preferable (there may be even an argument to buy Multi-packs you don't even need if the numbers bother you - I can't say they have been so intrusively placed so far that I have felt the need to do that though.

It's especially worth avoiding Quackles if you plan to buy any multi-packs as he's very common.
If you are collecting the ones unique to the multi-packs then you'd get a quackles & the others anyway.

Quite a few gaps in series 2 I unfortunately I will have to chase a bit. But I have something to work on. For some reason Series 2 was very delayed in the UK and when it did come out it was for a very short time in limited numbers and then was almost immediately replaced with Series 3. I literally saw the Series 2 singles come in - I immediately bought them (they were missing about 4 I needed) They restocked a week later - I got the ones I wanted and the remaining figures disappeared last week the week after the orange bubble ones came into stock. which have now also vanished - in fact I was super lucky I got the lot of them on sale - and I also got them before they removed the shelf tag and disappeared them... Which does kinda beg the question if they sell very well why isn't more people getting them in ?

I'd recommend grabbing those series 2 pack off ebay even if some were duplicates... I did, just to get the rates I was missing.

 

There isn't any Series 2 located in the UK - I'll have to look at somewhere like Tailand to get them perhaps.
I may trawl so more further away ARGOS stores first - trouble is they got series 2 and immediatly sold out so when you get them now they are 90% likely to be the orange bubble restocks. Which isn't useful when you are chasing Steve From Accounting. I need to hop over to a town served by a different warehouse I guess. I wouldn't be having this problem if all the toystores were not 50 miles away though.

 

Hell yeah, I ticked off two of my most wanted today, Wizengreen and Quackles, and picked up Calamity Keys for good measure. I didn't expect Series 3 to be out just yet in the UK, I still need to pick up a few Series 2 bits, The Entertainer I went to must've only put them out today or yesterday. I was after Meltz Down as well but someone else scooped him and by the looks of it the Seasons Greeters 5 pack I was after, wish I'd asked if they had any more in stock now, I needz Halloween Knight!

 

Halloween Knight is a fantastic design and I really wish they hadn't used a tampo for the face. A lot of mine is scratching off because of how the top of the pumpkin comes off to expose to robot face

I'm hoping for more Halloween themed fellows, like a ghost or skeleton.

 

I've seen the display of Unicron and a bunch of licensed stuff, but nothing else. Has anyone seen any new BotBots at NYCC yet? OR even any old ones, to give some hope that the line is at least alive enough to promote what's out there. Or is kids' stuff ever shown at these conventions?

 

Well that's kind of disappointing to hear, but in an odd way it gives her more character. Plus if you really want to keep the tampo from deteriorating more you can always apply a clear coat, you shouldn't have to by default but it's still an option.

 

I did actually! That's why the face is a little shiny on her in that picture. It's a bit disappointing still and it's less about being imperfect and more just I hope there isn't one day that you can't see her (very awesome) facial expression. If there was a little molded detail for the eyes and mouth it wouldn't be an issue at all.

Thankfully managed to get a complete set of series 1 and 2 off eBay.

Series 3 will need luck and help completing those.

Comic Con are cheap in my country so that is one off my list.

Then will get somebody to buy me the lawn mower league by the end of month hopefully they are still sellibsellingg it there

 

I love little Transformers, so I happily pre-ordered all the new Micromasters, Battlemasters and Ironworks. I wish we'd get some playsets like that for BotBots. Those might be easier to just grab off of Amazon, without getting triples. LOL

I'll probably do that after the holidays for what I've missed. Apart from the 1.5 Bots. I doubt I'll ever see those.

 

I just got into Botbots last week and have already gone ham. This isn't a good picture but this is a pretty sizeable pile and isn't including the Con Crew I bought with my "we lost your toy so have $10" coupon on Pulse.

I take one to school and work every day, just as a fun thing to mess with. I think Quackles is objectively the best for my photography though, as his alt mode isn't inanimate so it looks natural interacting with things as opposed to a bottle of white-out. I mostly buy Chug and BW, and I own multiple MP and larger 3P toys, but this is my favorite transformers toyline in a long, long time. It's really just about perfect. They're well distributed, cheap, frequently and very well made, and there's a TON of them for options. Only thing I wish they had was more published fiction. I want to know why Halloween Knight is so bent on slaying Sugar Breath!


I'm still a little worried about how the soft plastic will age though, so if someone could fill me in on whether I should worry about it drying out like PVC I'd really appreciate it.

 

They're like toy crack. Primus help me, they're harder than the Minicons to get away from.

 

Speaking of going ham, i am barely a week in and bought a complete set of series 1 and 2 for$200++

 

So, a while back there was some sort of mention of getting some of the Lawn League 8 packs. Is that still a possibility? I need the one with the flower pot and spade. I have a friend in HK, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to find or get them.

Oh and here's another question:

On the checklist for Series three. There is the Baby Sharkticon Hat, holding the Soda and the Chocolate bar. The problem is that there is an extra check box and NO Botbot for that box. I've got all the Botbots for S3 and that's the only empty box. Any ideas on the missing bot, or is this an error?
