With regards to scale, I’m not really that particular. Example, Grimlock can be a leader class or voyager.

The dinobots other than Swoop should have been voyager sized.

What bugs me with regards to the current scales pertains to the combiners - particularly, the new Devastator and Predaking. I wished They were the similar in height to the rest like Superion, Menasor etc.

Omega...the same size as the combiners.

For Tryticon...i wished he was taller than Metroplex.

Sorry you lost me. Anyway IMO G1 aesthetics sells if not, why would HasTak constantly revisit it.

From the sales staff i know i retail and import stores in my part of the world have highlighted to me that sales for Siege has been better than the previous few lines. Example, certain characters like Optimus and Sideswipe have sold out.

Oh man, I will buy 3-4 of those 5-faced miscreants!

    I second this, Hasbro.
Quintessons are among the most innovative ideas we had in the franchise.
    They had great unusual designs.
I would armybuild them like crazy if you put produced the three main variations of Judge, Scientist, and Prosecuters.

Well sales numbers vary from place to place.
I have been told by the staff of several stores in my city that siege has underperformed severely in comparison to previous toylines.
Particularly the first wave is still shelfwarming.

    I mean, that's completely different.

No, they're fine as Titan Class figures. Especially Devy since he wouldn't fit into the current CW model.

"Scale" gets thrown out the window with Titan class. At that point it's all about which figure makes the most sense playability wise at the $150+ price point.

Like, I was on board with Sky Lynx as a Titan because the shuttle/lynx carrier would be a perfect fit for something that could open up to provide places for Micromasters to play around in. Seeing Modular Battle Stations and now Prime's trailer being official for EarthRise...the only thing shifting me away from it now (though it'd still fit) is the idea that something like the Countdown rocket base would make the perfect Titan Battle Station...and since they're doing more partsformers they could even fiddle around a bit and give it a robot mode.

Heck, following the Ironworks model...they could potentially even have him break down to form armor/weapons for the smaller figures.

If they do that, you're likely looking at a model very similar to PotP. Taller Voyagers that have tons of shared engineering (since they'd be taking up 5-6 spots in the release cycle).

And I would assume Grimlock gets the Leader treatment...eventually getting retooled into Deathsaurus (take a look people, it's entirely doable).

Yeah, I get what you mean (with regards to sales numbers).

IMO one day the nostalgia for G1 aesthetics will wane too. But for a G1 fan...I’m trying to enjoy it while it lasts.

This has already happened for some toy lines (in my country). Example, Star Wars is doing pretty dismal. So much so that retailers have skipped the last few waves.

...Oh sh*t I just realized this is probably exactly what's going to happen.

Slug/Snarl would share enough tooling to be "one" figure. Which would compensate for Sludge and Swoop (though Hasbro could probably come up with something).

Grimlock goes to Leader Class, getting extra accessories (his crown for example) and then is retooled into Deathsaurus because that's *absolutely* someone who'd fit in with the new model of large Voyagers with extra bits (Breastforce partners, weapons, tailshield, etc).

And if they needed to get some usage out of the molds, G2 Dinobots are an option.

Nothing that really interests me just yet.

The name of the line is awful, for the record.

The map thing is an ok gimmick I guess. Not as good as comics, but it's..something.

Kinda cool to see the weaponizer gimmick sorta carry over, sure you can repurpose Ironworks (is this a new character? He is kinda cool) as such, but being a little thing for micromasters is still neat.

I'm honestly not sure that's a good idea, sans Swoop, who was Optimus-height anyway. Making 4(or 3, w/e) Ultra Magnus-sized Voyagers is recipe for the most hollow figures we've had since... ever. I'm picturing like Fall of Cybertron Grimlock but worse. Much, much worse. I don't think Voyager would be a viable option for such large characters.

Assuming that HasTak utilizes shared engineering as per your idea(which would probably be the case), here's an option I could see happening:

    -Main line Voyager Swoop
    -Main line Leader Snarl
-Main line Leader Sludge or Slag(as they shared a lot of tooling in PotP)
-Main line Commander Grimlock packaged with his Pretender shell/armor
    -Selects Leader Sludge or Slag

^ that leaves enough room for 1 other Leader and 5 other Voyagers in the line. =D Plus, they could be retooled for future lines to get even more out of the molds. Snarl into Scorn, Grimlock into Deathsaurus as you stated, Sludge into Paddles, etc etc etc.

I've seen this (in my country) as well, part of it seems related to how expensive (toys in general) have become when the average income that hasn't increased as much, also I think that kids just aren't aware about how cool these toys are (I mean we love transformers for a reason!) and maybe that's because there isn't a current show with the siege aesthetics... That netflix whatever can't come soon enough.

Oh yeah, the price thing. Hasbro has pretty much admitted that the prices are going to increase, and they're shifting at least some of the blame on the US-China trade dispute. What I want know is, since there is no Canada-China trade war, will Earthrise prices hold the line in Canada? At the very least, will the Canada-US price gap close? And if not, what will be the excuse?

Sludge has an Apatosaurus-like dino mode, which means he should be bigger than Grimlock, or else we're just going to have the same old Little Foot Sludge. Grimlock should come with a lot of accessories, filling out the Commander price point since he shouldn't be face to face with Jetfire.

Generations is scaled according to robot mode, rather than alt mode. Pus, their alt modes weren't in scale in the first place. They were all roughly similar sizes.

Yeah, Grimlock befinitely isn't face-to-face with Jetfire. But I suggested his Pretender shell/armor so he would still be around the size of his comrades without the armor.

Even with the cartoon's inaccuracies, Grimlock and the other Dinobots by extention were always taller than Prime. I want to say like by 1.5x. Leader class would be perfect for them.

If that's what you're hoping for, we'll never get them. At the rate they're going I doubt they'd commit three waves of Leaders (minimum) to just Dinobots.

If they need to be taller than Prime, they can get away with that easily as larger Voaygers with fewer accessories (think Ironhide and Impactor relative to the rest of the Deluxes).

The only reason you'd see a Leader Dinobot is if they want to use that to slip Grimlock in (since he's the most well known of the 5) and they can load him up with accessories.

I have to agree there. I'd much rather them be done at a larger size at the cost of having to wait a while for the whole team, rather than having most of them being Voyagers hollowed out to near-KO levels.

The Dinobots are so popular, I'm sure Hasbro can reach some kind of satisfactory approach. There's only 5 of them(in the cartoon at least).
