At the very least, it's nice for characters to be roughly the right size relative to each other.

I'm not a stikler for proper scale, but I am one for cool designs. Characters like Sideswipe feel like your average guy, or in this case, your average cybertronian (20ft), character like Ironhide are above average (25ft), characters like Optimus are your big guys (30ft), and characters like Ultra Magnus are the muscle (35ft). Grimlock is the brute (50ft), Jetfire is your gentle giant (80ft), and characters like Skylynx are the beasts (120ft), going toe to toe with combiners.
Bruticus 160ft (The better, rougher karate kid)
Superion 150ft (That really good karate kid)
Devastator 130ft (The middle child, not too weak, not suprisingly strong)
    Predaking 200ft (An unstable beast)
Menasor 110ft (Not the tiny one, and the most intuned combiner, but can be mentally dismantled)
    Defensor 100ft (The tiny one)
    Computron 150ft (Big, but slow)

I’m primarily a deluxe / voyager kind of guy.
I hate anything smaller than deluxe, but begrudgingly have a few like the insect icons and cosmos.
I’ll suffer an occasional leader, like the earlier Jetfire.
I passed on grapple years ago because it was ridiculously huge.

I have Skyfire / Jetfire despite his size because, well, Skyfire. I wish he was leader or voyager.

NYCC starts Thursday in the US. So when Aussies wake up tomorrow (Friday), there could hopefully be some news out already.

Of course, but I already have both of the other rollers mentioned so using them as stand ins is fine.
I'm not suggesting anyone go out looking for these.

Or, in the scale chart's scale:
    Sideswipe: 13 ft
    Ironhide: 16.5 ft
    Optimus: 20 ft
    Ultra Magnus: 23 ft
    Grimlock: 23 ft
    Jetfire: 32 ft
Skylynx: can't find a listed size or even scale chart depiction of him but imagine he's probably ~50 ft like the combiners
All the combiners you listed: ~50 ft

I understand that some feel these sizes make them kinda puny, but personally I've more recently preferred them, as it makes for better and easier interaction with humans, makes the ground vehicle mode scaling without mass-shifting make sense (while admittedly mucking with air vehicle scaling, although they can more realistically get hollower to get bigger than car bots can compress to get smaller), and mitigates the slowing down of movement as objects get bigger and bigger, allowing for more believability in quick motions.

    Noooooo, Commander or bust.
I've posted it a few times now, but Siege Jetfire is eerily similar to Masterpiece Star Saber.
Jetfire could absolutely be a pretool for Star Saber. Easily.

What do you expect? I've seen people demanding a Commander class Astrotrain.

okay, is it the gimmick or lazy engineering that is interfering with getting these Micromasters right in robot mode? I mean, the hood should fold forward for both Big Daddy and Trip Up, heck they got the transformation for Highjump all wrong!

Brilliant idea. How do we make this happen?
