This seems like important news. Maybe they only had a set amount allocated to them? If so then I think it's probably a good sign that Hasbro's expectations for them were exceeded.

That or they’ve turned in their orders and were part of the 1000 order bump

After a really great morning, the count seems to have stalled out in the 6930-40s range for a while now. I don’t think it ultimately matters but they probably should have saved the comic bundle news for today. Wasn’t needed yesterday (it was almost an afterthought after the affiliate update) and would have helped bridge the excitement between the minis/head stand additions and NYCC. A piece of news every day keeps it top of mind.

What's the endgame of posting on a forum at all? Why don't we just use the "Like" button for everything instead?

And speaking of obtuse, I wasn't referring to your complaint of ad nausea complaining, but instead your choice of words in telling people they need to grow up for repeating an opinion that otherwise breaks no rules.

It's not about the board rules, it's about you trying to somehow diminish the repeated opinions of others to the point that you feel like they need to grow up.

Ignore them. That's more grown up then anything you've said so far.

    Obtuse indeed.

IKEA rates the strength at 8 lbs. per shelf. Even putting him on two shelves with equal weight distribution will crush the shelves.

But please, don't take IKEA's word for it. You do you.

The last 1000 figures will be bought by IKEA, just to ensure that 7000 people need to replace their broken furniture...

This awesome post should be a crowdfund extra for Unicron backers who have followed this thread since the early days. Like a badge of courage or something.

Well there actually really isn't a point to posting at a forum at all, which is why boards like this one are in a long decline. Discord, Twitter, Facebook have all replaced this model of social interaction. Forums are pretty much the last redoubt of long-form conversation.

As far as diminishing an opinion... no one is doing that. You've shared it. It's known. Now what? People disagree. And that's that. So what's the point at turning sharing it into a hobby? That's when sharing an opinion transforms into campaigning.

I think the heaviest thing I put on an Ikea glass shelf is Brave Maximus (G1 Fortress Maximus for Car Robots). I'm not sure how much it weighs, but he's heavy. Way heavier than the modern titans that come in at 5 to 7 lbs. I think he's probably around 8. I wouldn't do more than that. For sure.

You can do the Double-detolf mod and Unicron will fit in Robot modde. but I'd absolutely get a wooden board and use that as a shelf instead of the glass. Because It'll be 19 lb unicron + 10 lb stand = 29 lbs on that shelf. No way the ikea glass holds that.

Thinking like this will never get the project funded. In fact although this project seems to have made "good" progress, in actuality we are still at the phase where a minimum of 250 orders A DAY is required, so we are no better off than some days ago. We got worse and now we are simply catching up again.

Interesting, Kapow toys are now sold out... Guess Hasbro asked them to close up early to collect the numbers or they really sold out of their allotted numbers. Either way, looks Like we'll see another bump soon.

What time is it? Graph time! It's 6953 currently. Unicron v 2.0.jpg

After the impressive infusion of affiliate orders some 36 hours ago, the campaign has expectedly begun to return to the mean. However commensurate with last time, it is witnessing a small reverberation of backers following the addition to the tune of just over 100 orders in the previous 24hrs, as people likely begin revving up that bandwagon. 1050-ish backers are still required; yet, as long as the secondary retailers can come in with over 750 contributors, which shouldn't be too difficult considering their global reach, the campaign ought to be able to secure its necessary funding. Indeed perhaps now one should begin shifting the question to how much over the 8k benchmark will this campaign reach. I believe that if Hasbro hopes to secure upwards of 9k or even 10k, as has been rumored, it would behoove them to "encourage" the currently outstanding retailers to submit their orders sooner rather than later. Recall that the Barge saw its most significant increase after the goal had been met, as Fence-sitters and others quickly threw in their bids upon seeing that it was a done deal. I see little reason to expect the Unicron campaign to be different. After all, a fully funded campaign with time remaining offers a surefire thing, while an only 88% completed campaign still contains the possibility of failure, which can slow the opening of one's wallet.
With these numbers, it is likely that Hasbro foresees NYCC as a place to take their campaign victory lap. As such I wouldn't be surprised to see the secondary retail orders placed before their big product showings. By doing so they can turn the event from a "Please back to get this guy made. We are so close," pleading to a more appealing "Unicron's happening. Be sure to get yours before the time runs out," hype.

Now for a bit of housecleaning:
I have never seen this stated anywhere. Indeed if I can recall correctly through the haze of 800 pages, the exact opposite was stated. If you can find the source of your "record" stating this I would love to see it. Until then, I'm going to have to ignore your claim.

I think @tigatron2002 might be correct. As the 1000 recent additions were from Hasbro affiliates, it reasons to assume that some may have placed all the orders they will be taking and as such have listed Unicron to be "sold out" simply to avoid the hassle of rejecting further backers individually.
