They're the same character, Hot Shot merely got a blue vehicle alternate mode in Cybertron

Hopefully these show up elsewhere. I've heard horror stories about EE and after the Seacons/Dinotapes fiasco, I'm not touching Pulse.

I hope these will also be up on HasbroPulse after NYCC. Or Cromar, at least, do not care about the Cybertron Hot Shot.

Cromar is a must for me.

Powerdasher jet KO was my first transforming robot toy ever. Nostalgia hitting hard.

Can’t wait to get both. I just hope Hasbro meant it when they said they wanted to complete teams.... If the Powerdashers can be completed, surely the Vanguard Team can be completed as well.... even if it’s all exclusives or Selects.

I'll be getting these both. Was hoping for something else too, like the rumored select Commander, but this will be merciful upon my wallet.

Just saw Chefatron's review of these guys, they're both lovely.

You and me both! Did your perchance look something like this?

    letöltés.jpg

I used to have one like this, but with a metallic green torso. That draw-on-with-magic-marker face never fails to make me smile.

No. I recall the old toy very well because I had it for long years before it finally broke from overuse and taking it everywhere, but it was much closer KO. I think that the face sticker was exactly the same as on the official ( I recall it having clown nose and black shadows around the eyes), the molding was exactly as on actual Cromar, but colors were different. Head and lower legs were deep blue and torso was red. Like if someone was trying to put Optimus's colors on it. Molded details were the same as on the official (I think so, I can recall it having two short ridges/winglets on top much like on the photos of the official so I'm assuming it being an exact KO). I can't recall if it had any stickers aside of the face or not. It was sold carded.

I have zero chances of finding any surviving KOs made by hell knows who somewhere in China. This WFC mold is the closest I'll ever get to ever owning it again. Might actually get two, one for repainting.

I will definitely be getting Cromar if it shows up on Hasbro Pulse.

Hot Shot is unfortunately an easy pass. I’m happy that Hasbro is making updates to Cybertron characters, but (1) my Cybertron Defense Hot Shot figure is still perfectly acceptable in a CHUG collection and (2) I honestly don’t feel that either the robot or vehicle mode of Siege Hound is a particularly good fit for either regular Cybertron Hot Shot or the Cybertron Defense version (though I guess the latter is the best fit). With my budget stretched enough as is, I don’t see any reason for me to replace my existing figure. But I’m glad that other people like it.

If Siege Hound has been repainted as Detritus or retooled into Ironfist, I probably would have bought it.

I'm betting they'll drop tomorrow, considering it's NYCC as well as a weird trend I noticed about convention drops usually on Thursdays.

I'll be waiting for Hasbro pulse for these. I know they haven't been in the best of lights as of late, but it's still the cheapest choice i got.

Ah, I see. Yeah, hunting down obscure KOs can be super tricky.

    Googled it!

I had a KO very likely coming from the same maker with this one, just different colors:

So I remembered the torso wrong. It's changed from the original. Facial sticker too.

But I'm sure that mine still had rubber tires and metallic hubcaps.

Glad you like it. I've been well served by Hasbro, there's plenty of room for this sort of homage. I feel you're kind of getting the crumbs though. I suppose if it sells well, Unicron Trilogy will be better catered to in years to come.

In the US there is about 20 years [citation needed] from Armada yellow Hotshot and Cybertron CDF Hotshot, in the US. In Japan they are not the same person.

I so need that Hotshot. I still have the knife from the OG toy. I think Clifjumper is using it now, but I\'m so giving it to this bad boy once I get him.

thats true, but the intent was always for hot shot to be the character in cybertron/galaxy force, takara and gonzo ignored hasbros lead on the series and did their own thing, thats part of why takara doesnt control the media anymore

    o_O

I've never understood the idea that either side *had* to do what each other dictated.
