Nope, all you have to do is spin the waist 180°, flip up the legs, fold the feet, and tab them together. If you look at the inner sides of the legs, the still have the hinges from the Siege figure, but the now serve no purpose. This is most evident when you look at the truck with trailer picture, if you look in the back, where the trailer meets the truck bed, you'll see the Siege pegs, which are only on the outer sides of the shins. The upper body of this Optimus may be superior, but those legs are a bit disppointing.

A purely Takara-initiated project that we're still waiting to hear/see more about.

Eh, I am not a fan of the name. I'm not here to take this franchise (that I dearly love) too seriously but this is just an odd name for a toyline that revolves around war and transformation.

Having said that, how is the fandom going to identify the figures in this line? Will it be "ER" or "Earth." I mean, its kinda funny to call this Optimus ER Optimus. It sounds like he's a doctor treating gun shot wounds in a hospital. But Earth Optimus just sounds so hippy and ecological, which is just bizarre for a sentient robotic being.

Moral of the story: Hasbro needs subline names that can have decent "shorthand" versions. PotP, TR, CW, Siege... all worked just fine.

Hmmm, wonder if the blast effects will be kept as the gimmick of the line? I see no pegs on the toys but maybe I missed them. It does certainly seem the Micromasters do not combine anymore to guns.

Because sometimes things just look bad too small.. And PS.. There is combat Hero Prime that has NEVER got a new release, or even an homage in that color scheme. that was my favorite Prime of G2.

    Darn, I take it back.

And I just noticed that it looks like he's got a new trailer hitch molded into the inside of the robot legs. So why is that asymmetrical bump from the Siege trailer hitch still on his left leg?

Also, where do the truck gas tanks fold up into? Maybe they're still in the shins, but using a different mechanism that brings them up from the back of the legs?

I like the name earthrise ..... makes me think of the autobot ark heading into the solar system and earth looming up into view half in daylight .
Will work for me if the line is mainly the first g1 characters to show up in seasons 1 and 2 .

Grapple looks fantastic and i really hope Inferno comes out too .

I cant get enough micromasters so all of these will be must haves for me .

It's a Takara project. Nothing to do with the mainline. It will be awesome. And expensive. But awesome.

The point is SS38 Already did this but better. Much like Combiner Wars Voyager Prime this one isnt going to sell well just because it's popular on this forum.

...uh, did no one inform you that Armada Convoy is a Takara-original project, as obviously evidenced by being displayed at 2019 Wonder Festival Winter, a Japanese convention? Armada Convoy was never going to be released by Hasbro at general retail, the same with Legends, Unite Warriors, and now Star Convoy and the Seacons.

Funny, when the list came out I was pretty sure I was going to buy all of them except ironworks. Now, after the photos the only figure I'm sure I'm going to buy is ironworks

Also, for those interested in these earth mode g1 toys might want to know all of these characters already came out just a few years ago in the prime wars trilogy.

I really don't know why they bothered calling it War for Cybertron if it's going to be the same familiar designs all over again. It should have been cybertronian all the way through. This really is a complete waste.

Silly Rabbit, Haven't you realized it by now judging by so ohhhh the last 10-15 years or so that all Hasbro/Takara do is recycle the same characters over and over in every line. And that's because those same characters are what actually sells. It's how after 35 years later Transformers even still exist.
