Boy, an I glad that I like and accept Siege's Cybertronian setting and didn't try to lie to myself and BS Siege Optimus as an Earth truck because this version is infinitely better than any mods or customs I've seen that tried to make him fit that role.

Not a fan of that Grapple though, seems like CHUG might be losing the modernized aspect of itself and is trying to be mini-Masterpiece instead...

Funnily enough, I reread the height description mere moments after I posted it. Either way, I'm happy though now it's going to be tricky choosing between this and Siege for my Voyager Prime.

Perfect no, good toy yes. Looks sturdy. If I had a son I'd buy him 1 as well as one for myself of course. By far better than the PotP Prime figure. That Prime was a bit wanting as a truck and the robot mode, though looking impressive is far too large. So I did understand the entire Convoy thing since Convoy in the Japanese toon would be going up against King Poseidon. If I am correct with the names.
So vs a combiner it would scale better.

I'm disappointed that the trailer clearly prioritized those stupid arms over the cannons. I never ever used them or the repair bay mode. The rest of the figure looks great aside from the weird looking rifle (because reasons) but that trailer will be staying closed up 100% of the time.

Mmmmmmmmmmyesyesyes, gimme. Love all of this. Can't wait for Wheeljack, Hoist, Cliffjumper, and Earth Starscream, guessing they'll be revealed at NYCC.

Are those TR clips or Siege Omega Supreme compatible clips on Ironworks?

Yeah, it'll definitely fit in well with Omega's alt-mode. Plus the likelihood of us getting an Omega Sentinel next year for the Deceptions to use as Space Bridge's. So here's to some Decepticon retools of Ironworks as well.

And if there's more like him they'll certainly make good Autobot fodder.

    AGREED!!!

I just hope what we saw today is not all we will see this Thursday. Meaning just optimus, grapple and ironwork at the panel.

Everyone going crazy over the trailer...
...to be honest I've never really been a fan of the trailer.

    Same.
Literally my only complaints with the figure are the eyes and slightly lanky proportions.
Other than that the figure's an instant buy from me.

I agree, same with Shockwave, though he didn't need all the pieces that came with him. Yet it is a great figure. I think HasTak might have been reluctant to do the figure since in itself it is but a lasergun that folds together and done. They increased the transformation a bit to make it pleasing while giving the extra bits to hide the gun. Since guns are bad in some parts of the world. " Saves you a lot of pain as a company ".
With Prime he looks like the same size and actually having some crossover from the earlier siege figure. They dropped the arm kibble. Giving him a sleeker look. As well as tossing in the trailer. I bet the trailer will be fitting with the WFC Prime as well.
Astrotrain, Shockwave, Prime I really like where they are going with the scale. However HasTak better give us a new Elita One! One that actually scales well with Voy Prime!

I'm guessing Red Wing and the Rainmakers (great band name, as an aside) will remain Tetrajets, since none of them have really appeared on Earth in fiction. The new Starscream mold, aside from giving us the expected Thundercracker, Skywarp, and the Coneheads, will probably primarily be used for Seekers that appeared on Earth, and the Siege Tetrajet mold will probably continue to be used for any Seekers that primarily appeared on Cybertron.

I'll add in that we better get a new Blitzwing to accompany Astrotrain!

I can see that happening. Remolds of the earth mode for the coneheads while the tetra jets get more like Sunstorm and Bitstorm or whatever they are named. That tetramold has enough millage in it to go all the way to the end of the trilogy.
As for earth modes something always seems to be molded slightly out of perfection. Probably to keep us wanting a new better version.

Well, if they're sticking to G1, Redwing and the Rainmakers shouldn't get Earth variants; they never left Cybertron. If we're gonna get an Earth variant of the Starscream mold, I want the purple "generic Seekers" that were in the 3 parter
