I'm so confused....is this essentially it for the Cybertronian designs?? If so, I am feeling totally conned. That Hasbro was going to retool these designs to Earth modes at some point was obvious to me, but I never would have bought into this whole concept if I knew they were going to ditch it halfway through. The Optimus and Grapple do look great, but again, if they're switching it so that we have half the characters in Cybertronian modes and half in Earth modes, it's a slap in the face, imo. Man I'm pissed!

im wondering why you and a bunch of other people cant enjoy their siege seekers now that earth modes are coming? they are still the same toy and the 3 main seekers did have tetra jets and earth jets in the g1 cartoon correct? im not saying your opinion is wrong im just curious.

What a real War for Cybertron this is if we're already leaving Cybertron. Admittedly, it wasn't much of a theme they were sticking to that much (Some figures are just blatantly their earth forms but with a few extra bits), but I would have liked to see more outlandish designs like Shockwave's experimented with. As it is, this seems pretty good all around. Grapple and Prime seem like great additions to a G1 cast collection, and I'm glad they're keeping the Weaponizers, as they were easily the best part of Siege (with a base theme from the looks of it.)

My main question though is what War for Cybertron's third act will be if act II already leaves Cybertron. If I had to guess, act 3 will involve the Autobots returning to a now Decepticon ruled Cybertron. After all, on the new Siege TCG line, the Lord Megatron card does have the title of "Conqueror of Cybertron". Maybe then we'll have more Decepticons than Autobots.

Wow. That trailer looks hilariously awful. So I guess they really are channeling G1's spirit!

It's always fun to see images of a new line start to trickle in. I loved the Siege line so far, and I will continue to support the new molds that come from it.

That being said, I had ordered the cell shaded versions of Megs and Prime... but I would much rather see this version done up like that. So, I might cancel that order.

Okay. i got a lot of thoughts on these reveals.

    The Good:

-These are going to be some of the cleanest cut, and well made generations earth mode figures we've seen in years. you cant stop me from picking up an earth mode Starscream with the build quality of siege. Correct me if im wrong but this seems to be the first non MP Prime with a trailer base and the repair arm since the g1 figure. Super neat seeing stuff like this pop after so long, just like how we got our first -white prime in armor- Magnus since g1 this year.

-Grapple looks hella clean and crisp. That claw sticking out the side of the alt mode looks a little garish. but I'm assuming its a 5mm port and he's got an Impactor hand flip thing going on.

-Really happy we're keeping the weaponizer gimick, even it seems to be a bit more of a -bash your own bass mode together- thing, but either or if all the weaponizes this line are going to be micromaster bases, I'm super into it.

-More micromasters, always a big plus. Nice to see that theyre almost b plot of WFC and will be a mainstay of the trilogy.

    The Bad:

-Earth modes... again? Thats fine, but lets see some characters we havent seen in a while if thats the case. The first wave (save for ironworks) Is almost all major g1 season one and two cast it seems. Give me some car robots, or some hell even some unicron trilogy. Generations is really starting to feel like Generation, singular. This wouldn't bug me as much if chapter one wasn't as interesting as it was with mostly Cybertronian modes.

-Im a little miffed that in the whole of chapter 1, and now the first wave of chapter 2, we havent really gotten any traditional leader figures? Theyre all just voyagers with some crazy accessories. Thats fine, but i would kill to just see some traditional big bots who aren't commanders. Jetfire rocks socks, but i really just want a leader who fills out his price point by just being a single medium large transformers, with one or two accessories.

    two really personal gripes,
-Im worried about this years titan if thats the case. Theres been a lot of talk that this years titan could very well be Scorponok. What kind of earth mode do you push onto a scorpion whos neon green, purple, and the size of a skyscraper?
-I hope this isnt the end of the Tetrajet seeker mold. I love those figures, even if they are a bit shell-former-y. I was really hoping for a ghost Starscream eventually, but doesn't look like that will happen if we're already going to be getting a new seeker mold in wave 1/2. Maybe we'll get an all clear earth mode one, who knows.

Chapter two is going to be as promising as chapter one, and hell now we can start speculating what chapter three could be! But that doesnt mean theres thing that im a little bummed about.

True. I definitely like this Grapple more than the RTS one, and we've had so few Grapples in the past. This one's a definite "buy".
Because let's be fair, we're gonna get a fair few repeats in this line. Siege's engineering is gonna make retools super super easy to pull off. Starscream's already confirmed, so maybe an Earth Prowl and an Earth Ratchet. Maybe even a retool of Soundwave that turns that fan-mode boombox into the main mode (with red eyes!)

Grapple is the least of our concerns.

After knowing that this is going to focus on Earth modes, I don’t know about getting more Siege figures. I’m honestly thinking on skipping main characters like Ironhide, Sideswipe, Starscream, Thundercracker, and even Megatron and just get Shockwave, the weaponizers, and a few others.

Wait! We’re actually getting a full on complete PROPER Optimus Prime with Trailer in Leader class and it’s not some expensive Master Piece version?!?!!? OMG this is awesome!!!!!

I hope this Prime is just a retool of the first Siege Prime. I have not gotten a Prime from this line. I’m so glad I waited.

Can't wait to get my hands on that new Optimus, and I love my Siege Prime. Love how he looks, especially his toyetic/Marvelesque yellow eyes. I'm also glad about his pelvis and hips being nore like that of the Siege seekers. My one gripe with Siege Prime was his limited forward bend on his legs, looks like that's not gonna be an issue here.

Grapple looks great. The lack of wrist swivels is a bit of a bummer, but I do like his cheeky claw hand. I think my head canon's gonna be that he was the chief architect of Omega Supreme, and Omega's claw is sort of an artistic signature for Grapple.

Ironworks looks neat as well, I like junky robots that look like they were clobbered together from scrap metal and spare parts. Glad to see the whole weaponizer gimmick ain't going anywhere, I'd also love to see some actual micromaster bases you can pick apart for weapons and gear for the bigger figures.

I do hope they're not gonna go overboard with retooling pre-existing Siege figure with Earth modes though, especially those that already look a lot like Earth vehicles to begin with (Sideswipe, Hound, the Datsuns etc).

I can see that if u have been collecting for a long time but for me I got out & siege got me back in & I love that we have a true G1 with trailer and I will get both as they rock! But if they do another one I’ll pass on it! Hasbro has done this for decades! They always do the main 5 or so over & over agin joe SW every line has this! I just look at it like it’s part of the deal & can like me bring u back in! When siege op came out I wanted him to have a trailer lol so I got my wish & saved me some cash lol!

    Okay this was surprising:

Ironworks: Love this guy. Such a nice call back to those micromaster bases. Great design with a kind of Glitch like face. He’s got a cool claw hand. Yeah I like him a lot.

Grapple: He looks really nice. Probably the best mainline Grapple made. I love the claw accessory and I think with that peg hole on top you could remake the G1 claw arm. Earth modes I see but I think he’d still look good with the other guys given how squished he is. Yeah, really cool.

Optimus: Fuck. Look I think the Prime looks great. He’s got the G1 yellow eyes. That truck cab is beautiful. One of the most real world like Optimus trucks in a main line. But that trailer. It’s really nothing. After all these cool armour up things and trailers like Studio Series DOTM Prime and MP-44 Convoy 3.0, this isn’t good. He doesn’t have nearly as many features to make a trailer worthwhile. If it was just Prime but he had a rocket pack for Sideswipe and a bunch of cool accessories like his axe and maybe some armour parts I think he’d be a great product. But I think it’s a disappointing use of the leader price point.

I think the 3rd part will be like season3 of G1 where Rodimus prime is leader so we can get a True G1 UM like the CW one but more true to his toon look I would be happy! I have the siege UM & would be ok with a 2nd just like with OP! Hasbro could also add in other lines like they did with hotshot!

What was the point of making the Cybertronian modes so Earth-like and not commit to the alien setting, if you\'re gonna just do full on Earth modes anyway? Sky thread, Spinister and Astrotrain straight up transform into Earth vehicles with no alien aspects about them. Why weren\'t they released in this line?

Ehhh Ironworks looks... Interesting? Ehhh I feel like the base parts forming gimmick would have worked better in a voyager size but that prime and grapple look great, cant wait to see Cliffjumper.
