Siege had blacklight codes, PotP had the Prime power cards, TR had the Titan master tech spec cards, CW had character cards (or comics for some). I think it's just a nice extra.

 

The Rainmakers can stay, as can Redwing. There's no reason for them to have Earth modes in particular.

 

This collection is turning out to be the best G1 CHUD option available.  Loving the whole \"before and after\" Prime options, backed by a packed character roster.  Sooo jealous!

 

There are a lot more differences than it just being siege, in fact it honestly looks like the only shared parts might be the lower legs

 

So far the only figure out of the reveals I want is Grapple.

But that's on you. The last Prime I bought was 3 years ago, before that 2014, and then 2011 (legends) and 2010. And none of the so far bought invalidates another. Just because they offer you a new version of a character, does not mean you have to buy it.

The Combiner Wars show came out almost a year after the toyline it was supposed to promote. We could be looking at a similar scenario again.


Sign me up for Ironworks and Grapple. Ironworks is just filled with creativity and I love how he's cross-compatible with Micromasters and Deluxes.

Bring on Cliffjumper and Wheeljack. I know it's counterproductive to hope for a Cybertronian mode Wheeljack in a line called "Earth Rise",but I'm crossing my fingers anyway.

 

Omg so Micromaster bases ARE a thing!? They're incredibly tiny and their modes differ from G1... but they're a thing!   Color me shocked. Like how modular they look, though.

That Prime looks amazing, provided he's leader-ish sized (I know, I know, it's a price class, not a scale, but still. He needs to be taller than the Voyagers at least.) The return of the G1 style trailer makes me happy.

That Grapple looks amazing! Can easily see myself getting most of these if this reflects what the line will feel like in general.

 

Makes sense. I didn't think they would go for a complete kill-off, but more like a soft coma for a bit... just to get more new characters established.
Has anyone discussed what Hasbro's thoughts are about maintaining the IP/ presence saturation vs. a potential burn-out precipitated interest slump?

So shoe horned the ALLSPARK into the story. 

The code reader for the map is cool but you need them all to complete it which sucks.....unless you put the path on the site much like the siege codes then its not so bad cause you can just get them here but a bit of a ball ache if you make the map yourself.

 

Also, im noticing folks thinking this is somehow a replacement Prime.  This is Prime after coming to Earth yet in the same storyline, no?  Keep your Seige Primes, this is just how he appears later.  Same collection, or at least i thought.

 

Dude, we knew this figure was coming when we saw the first pics of siege Optimus. You should have skipped him like everyone else who rather wanted the earth mode version. You can't blame someone else for your buying habits.

 

I\'m not keen on non-earth modes so wasn\'t a huge fan of Siege (especially with some of the tenuous Deception alt modes), but these look promising. Just a shame a lot of the big names were used in Siege; unless they\'re going to do all the seekers again and find earth modes for Soundwave and Shockwave.

Smart people know when to draw the line and say 'enough is enough, no more'. Want HasTak to stop rehashing the same S1 + 2 cast over and over, and while they continue to raise their MSRP? Stop buying them, simple as that. No better way of sending your feedback to HasTak than keeping your wallet shut.

Glad I quit collecting, because this shit's gotten way, WAY beyond old at this point.

 

I mean, they could easily top Siege Ironhide & Ratchet with two words. Battle. Station.
