I get that. But you know that toy you bought because you liked it? It didn't change. It's still the same you liked enough to buy.
You don't have to get a new one. You can be happy with the thing you were already happy with. Does that sound crazy?

I\'m really disapointed that they\'re already abandoning Cybertronian alt modes when not everyone got one-- including Wheeljack and Bumblebee, the only 2 G1 Autobots that got them in the cartoon! That said, these figures look incredible, especially Grapple and Prime! With WfC 2 being Earthrise I have a feeling part 3 will be Return to Cybertron or something like that to time it nicely for the Unicron release and be an excuse to do more of the 85\' movie characters. I\'m also glad this porves that leaked list to be true because that means we\'re getting Wheeljack! Too bad it won\'t be a Cybertronian alt mode though...

One day they will give us new designs.... But as long as fans demand G1 only Im fine with this. I dont have a true Optimus yet after over 13 years collecting so Ill probably just get this one.

Ooh Hasbro you sneaky basterd, you've managed to once again put out a prime that has just a tiny bit enough of a difference from all the other 3584 primes I own, to make me still consider buying it... ;) :D .

This is why I don't mod my figures. Wait long enough and the market will produce what you are looking for. Now I will have the pleasure of enjoying a stylized Optimus and this new one both 100 percent intact.

I'm not even mad the current trilogy is obsoleting a bunch of my old CHUG figures; this is essentially the GEEWUN! redux I've wanted since the mid 90s (especially if incorporating the post-86 characters included in the Prime Wars trilogy figures). I even like the generally smaller size. Looking forward to more reveals!

The whole point is people keep buying them. Maybe not you specifically, but someone does. But just because you've decided to be an exception to it doesn't mean it isn't the rule.

God damn it! That prime looks good!

Make me feel a fool for pre-ordering 35th anniversary prime!

Seriously though, wish in a way they would slow down, only just getting Thundercracker.

Hell to the power of "yeah"!

    All I've wanted was a G1 cast.
I don't mind if some figures go by the way side if it means we get figures that look closer to the original characters.

I want to have the most G1-accurate version available of the figures I pick up.

I agree with you for the most part, as I have a basically complete cast of CHUG characters from pre-WFC lines. That said, I prefer the aesthetic of earlier Generations lines that were a bit more modernized and less straight up blocky G1 (like, Generations Kup over TR Kup), so I have been able to easily pass on most of Siege except for where the Siege figure is an unquestionable upgrade (like Optimus and Megatron), or where a solid CHUG figure didn't previously exist (like Soundwave or Shockwave). I could maybe see myself getting this Optimus, but not Grapple. I'm cool with the RTS figure.

im curious how big grapple will be because his articulate and transformation look more like a deluxe at a glance, folding the arms and lower half of his body backwards, the crane hinging back is the only part that feels like something from a voyager

It’s an embarrassment of riches in CHUG. For myself I’ve grown accustomed to putting old character dupes on EBay to keep the collection restricted. I’ll probably stop once Hasbro is done revisiting the Combiners. I’ve been happy with the engineering since Titans Return.

I am so salty over that Prime. Its ridiculously beautiful, a part of me wished I waited. Still, I am very happy with my standard Seige Prime.

In other news, seeing the Micromaster playsets make a come back is really cool, and Grapple is gorgeous!

Still waiting on a non-combining set of Dinobots, where they are AT LEAST Voyager sized. Grimlock and Stomp need to be Leader sized, though.
Heck, why not make them ALL Leader sized. Or, dare I say, Commander Class? (OK, maybe overdoing it there)
