And there's the Optimus many of us have wanted since the classics line first started this whole Generations or "CHUG" thing so many years ago.

 

I'm stoked for Ironworks. I love these new characters coming out, even if they're largely partsformers. I do enjoy the concept that at least some Transformers do this, as it provides a better explanation for "boost armor" Transformers that pop up randomly throughout the fiction.

 

Glad I saved the box for Siege Prime...........time to go back to Target, lol

 

It's the first time Optimus got his classic trailer in Generations, so it's understandably a little plain. Hopefully it will share connectors with Iron Works and even Omega Supreme to help it be a little more exciting.

 

Ya know what, the trailer adds nothing interesting BUT I STILL LOVE THE IDEA OF GETTING A MODERN OPTIMUS WITH A TRAILER!

Grapple looks great. Can’t wait for the other reveals. Woot! Woot! Keep ‘me coming HasTak!

Examine the pics, the ramps on ironworks and on Optimus's trailer ramps have the same connectors. Those connectors are also on OP's shield. They can totally connect!

It\'s pretty cool that Orangeitis was right about Ironworks. But I\'d really like an Ironfist or Fisitron or Fistitron or Irofnist too and more late G1 and G2 is always welcome m

oh crap, these truly make Seige look like the absolute garbage I thought it was.
That Grapple looks more like a Masterpiece then the Masterpiece version did  

Heck, i like thet Prime WAAAAY more then MP44 (aside from he lame smokestacks) and his awful tighty-whiteys. - even has proper stripes on the trailer 
I assume Prime is a bit of a re-shell of the Voyager? looks like they de-greebled things?

and making Micromaster bases actually Transformers (and weaponizes too boot it looks like?)? that's brilliant.

Bummer most of the line they'll still probably too small to scale with prior CHUG lines, but i'll pick and choose

i wonder how many characters will get rehashed/reshelled from Siege?

 

Still a better value than the recent G1 reissue.

 

Final part of the trilogy will be 1986/season 3. Expect a voyager or leader Rodimus Prime at that point, (with a chance of hot rod in phase 2,)

I find it a little irritating that Hasbro is just NOT doing Cybertronian alt modes in a line that I thought was SUPPOSED to be dedicated to them. As if Hasbro is resistant to doing something different.

 

Wow!  That Prime.  I\'m not seeing any battle grime....  fingers crossed.   I like how they give the MM base a robot mode.  Very nice.

Yeah, I saw that. I was more hoping Prime's trailer could be used as the base to build up using pieces from Ironworks rather than out to connect to Ironworks.
