Breast implants to be left on the shelf after TGA suspension Feel a bit deflated after reading article.
Sounds like only some models are going to be banned so its not like the entire practice is going to go tits up. Hopefully some boobs don't fly to less reputable places that don't have these restrictions to get their cleavage cleaved as a result.
Article says eight. That's more than a handful. Yeah, I know what you mean. Dodgy places using those faulty Takata airbags that have been recalled worldwide.
As a woman I think there are good reasons to get plastic surgery and bad. Having bigger boobs put is ridiculous. I am for reducing breasts, especially when they cause back pains, when I was pregnant I went all the way up to an I cup, everyone had to comment all my pregnancy weight was in my breasts, very funny... but, omg it was fking painful, I can't imagine purposely making yourself bigger. Like when they get bigger for feeding your kid that's 1 thing, but to feel better about yourself please stop. Go help old ladies cross the street or something. My sister has a different mom than me, when my sister was 16 her mom grabbed her and brought her to Texas from NY to get a nose job bc she had my dad's crooked nose. My sister felt awful about herself after and her daughter has my dad's nose.... I also don't loke make up, but at least that's not perm.
Resorting to surgery for vanity, to please others, or because poor self-esteem caused by absurd "beauty standards" is kinda sad (but it's their choice to make). On the other hand, some women get implants after a mastectomy due to cancer, because they don't feel whole anymore. I can't find fault with that. Men will also get prosthetic testicles after losing one or both to cancer, even though virtually nobody else will see or care. So in that case I think it's not really about appearance or vanity.
I was thinking more about vanity, but it's up to the individual after a major medical event. I can make no comment on it.
Jokes aside, I can understand if there's a potential cancer risk. Also, while the focus is on Australia, the article does mention that some other brands that were deemed risky were voluntarily globally recalled by their makers.
