From what I know, and this is going back to the last year of TRU, it was successful, at least I saw the items in stores and they weren't around for long.

Lego Ideas is a pretty distinct concept from a crowdfund.

I think that a few of the 3rd parties could go legit this way, call it transformers spark. A third part puts in the time research and development then Hasbro says fandom what say you and we decided to back it or not, that could get a lot of people behind a 3rd party legit project bcuz it would literally have Hastakomy stamp of approval and distribution why being created and better than what they would ever give us ala Lego Ideas

That's really not practical. Lego Ideas works because it's all just modular parts. Anybody can make functional models with it.

Most fans aren't in the position to be able to build a functional Transformer from scratch.

Sorry no. That image you posted is not a CAD drawing but a plan and section free hand sketch of the early version of Unicron. I do these drawings all day long. The way to read the drawing correctly is to imagine the lines laying on top of each other. Those curved panels were never intended to be inside the lower leg but behind it. You can see with the Unicorn robot mode to the right that the panels are indeed behind the leg. To further demonstrate this point, I've attached a early proto of Unicron next to Fort Max for scale: you can see the panels are behind the leg as well, which is consistent with the sketch as I've described. Your absolutely right most fans can't hence me not saying fans and saying 3rd parties which say they used Pulse to get funded would get more people to bite bcuz those that wont bcuz they're Hastakomy loyalists wouldn't have that concern any further, plus it would like this Unicron, only be good for the collector market, creative team gets a percentage, we get lower cost (maybe BW may have changed the game on that entirely) but it's a win for everyone ultimately a way to bridge that gap so to speak

I thought CAD stands for Colorful Awesome Design. Or was it Creative Astute Description? Or was it Conqueror of Autobots and Decepticons?

5761 now, so no back and forth, it is clearly on the rise.
Can we please forget this dumb "salty" thing? It's a dumb use of the word. When will it finally go the way of other outdated phrases?

"So what do we do with the kibble?"
"Eh, fuck it, just pile it on the back, no one will notice."
    "Brilliant! Cocaine for everyone!"

Gotta wait til the last breath to pronounce something dead.
You'd be surprised how many times something is still alive or makes it because people think it's done for.

Oh, so you are fully aware of how many orders, outside of HASLAB, are being taken, thru BBTS and affiliate partners then? Please so enlighten us with some more inside information other than another genetic "This is not going to make out post". I bet if we had a dollar for every one of these posts, we could buy another unicron and raffle it off to members of this forum!

Ok! So we are getting down to the proverbial wire. Less than a week left and NYCC just around the corner. The hopefully side of me is expecting Habro to really step up the marketing efforts. I'm trying to temper that side, to be sure. For those of us who have backed this...we sit in "wait and see" mode. I'm sure there are a bunch of fellow board members still on the fence. Hopefully Hasbro shows enough to convince them to back Unicorn hehe. This is 71% funded...let the fun commence...ugh.

I love these guys and all the hard work they've put in to make this monster happen, but clearly the crowdfunding window has not been kind to them.

So yeah. I sense another 'update' .... :D

"Hi! Now call it spin and call me crazy but no-one likes a cut off date that interferes with owning a high class collectible, right*? Here at HasLab we know you want the ultimate Unicron experience! That's why we're extending a chance to own this once in a lifetime cosmic event, the sphere-of-fear and master-of-disaster to ... November! *Now with translucent red abs & detachable horns that transform into a sail barge!"

it's hilarious how facts get ignored when it's convenient for them. they're so quick to point out the fact that there's some kibble on legs and back but so quick to ignore the fact that what we see on hasbro's page is NOT a true representation of the total number because of third party sellers like BBTS, etc and despite this being commented on many, many times.
ignorance is bliss - until the fact hits them directly in the face....which I have a feeling will and wont feel nice.
