Still need to touch up on that.

    awesome work mate!

did you prime the figure? I'm always wary about painting transformerable figures as the primer, paint, and clear finish would've added a few more mm to the surface and thus hinders transforming once they're done.

unless you intend to keep them in combined mode?

Ok I kept them in their combined mode, just split up the arms/legs/torso, and used Mr Hobby flat matte coating as my primer before painting. Then once everything is done, I would then use the flat matte coating again to seal it up

However, still no where near as stable as I would like. Also the arms are so weak that I think I transformed something wrong. This is the best pose I can seem to get out of this guy. Looks wise, very very impressive.

Just got around installing the replacement parts (inc. head, it just looks more G1, no leg extenders), and it's 100% woth it. No more wobly waist, tighter knee, allot less work to balance this (top heavy) Devy now. Once positioned I can pick it up and set it down without rebalancing, and it stands straight up now ;)

Does the add-on kit do more than just work for the gestalt mode?

Just got the rest of this set in today! Already applied faction symbols to most of them but I am scratching my head over Long Haul. Where the heck is he supposed to have a Decepticon symbol in bot mode? Shoulder maybe???

And speaking of Long Haul, has anyone here had issues with him being able to stand? Looks like his feet are connected to ball joints and his weight just overpowers what little friction there is. I've gotten some fun poses out of him but man did I have to fiddle to get him to balance right.

Feet-on-ball-joints seems to be a thing these days, and I don't quite know why. I guess try some clear nail polish, or Future Finish, or super glue, or something?

Where did you put the symbols on each of them? Don't have them in front of me atm so not sure which ones were obvious, but I know I was having difficulty finding the proper spot for them on some, just like you.

Can confirm, I used nail polish on Long Haul's foot balljoints to stiffen them up and that's worked well enough.

I was able to put a faction symbol on the chest for all of them but Long Haul. Excuse the crappy photo attached but if you open it in a new tab it should be full size and you can see where I put them on the other five. (Also excuse the non-existent posing. I didn't bother considering I want to combine them after I get off work today.)

I'll have to figure out where the heck I've stuffed all my nail polish and give it a go. Does that hurt the plastic at all? And how long would that fix hold up? I handle my figures fairly often so I'm assuming at some point it'll wear off the polish?

It will wear down eventually I guess but it would be easy to just apply more every so often.

Dynamic posing with JB Gravity Builder, reinforced by my shop's various stability parts. Recently sourced a much stronger printing filament that allows for higher strength small parts that can handle the weight of this beast and his gun/drill upgrades.
