One week left till the season.

    How prepared are you?

Once again, I'm picking some random movies I never saw including the Creature from the Black Lagoon movies, 1953 House of Wax, The Blob, Candyman, House of 1000 Corpses, to some modern horror like Get Out and A Quite Place.

Also in the plan is the upcoming The Addams Family movie which of course totally look forward to it because I love The Addams Family.

Other than Tales from the Crypt and some Halloween movies, I'm not sure what I have in the cards for this year right now. I know I'm going to be moving through as many Ultra Q episodes as I can when the BD comes out in hopes of having that reviewed for my Halloween Month series.

I'll probably pick up the new BD/4K release of The Shining and watch that to get ready for Doctor Sleep (which I wish came out in Oct and not Nov).

I always watch the original A Nightmare On Elm Street every Halloween season. I haven't seen the new IT movies yet so I'll catch those this year in addition.

So far, as of this year, I've watched the first eight Friday the 13th movies plus the Crystal Lake Memories documentary, It: Chapter Two, the 1990 It mini-series, the first five Nightmare on Elm Street movies, two Ghostbusters movies, the first two Evil Dead films, and Zombieland. I am planning to watch The Cabin in the Woods and Beetlejuice today and watch Christine and Psycho after that and then hopefully finally get back to the remaining Nightmare on Elm Street films with Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare. I even started this year's Halloween marathon on a Friday the 13th too.

I'm holding off on watching any Godzilla movie until I get that nice Criterion box set.

Not sure how much we’ll actually get to watch as our viewing schedule is entirely determined by how early we get the kids to bed. But we do have a few kid friendly features on the docket like Book of Life & Coco.

But no matter what, we are gonna watch the original Ghostbusters this year. My wife has never seen it & I haven’t seen it in forever (and only when it was on tv). This is the year!

Other than that, we always watch Garfield’s Halloween Adventure & the Peanuts Halloween special, of course. Gonna see if we can’t dig up some other good ones.

Same as every year. Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow on Halloween night.

"It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "Witch's Night Out" for my toddler. For me... "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2", "Friday the 13th Part 3", "Garfield's Halloween Special", and some random 80's slasher from Amazon.

I'll probably watch some C- to Z-list horror films on Netflix and Amazon Prime, like usual.

I actually haven't given it much thought. I've done the whole one-old-school-classic- movie-(and-yes-that-means-many-black-&-whites)-a-night-the-whole-month bit at least twice in the last five years, and that usually takes a week or two to figure out what I'm going to watch. So, I dunno.

Got the Tim Curry version of IT ready to go, whenever I get the time to sit down for that one.
There's a bunch of classic horror films I really got to watch one of these years...

Watched the cartoon movie "Igor" since Youtube and Netflix keep recommending it to me. Nothing amazing, but it's got neat designs and an oddly dark sense of humor.

OK, here's a weird one I just found - "The Midnight Meat Train." Bradley Cooper and Vinnie Jones in an adaptation of a Clive Barker short story. Very gory, and some of the gore FX are cheesy, but the story is pretty compelling, and it has those keen Clive Barker trappings. Way better than your average slasher horror. Streaming now on Prime.

Managed to watch Wes Craven's New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason last night. Planning to watch Casper on Netflix today since it will be out of it in a few days and Dracula: Dead and Loving It afterwards.

It's also directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, whose past credits include Godzilla Final Wars, Versus, Sky High, Azumi, Aragami, Alive, and the cutscenes to Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes.

Just watched Addams Family Values. That's probably it for this Halloween although I might squeeze in an actual horror movie somewhere next month if I have the time.

I want to watch a bunch of schlock this halloween season.

Started off with Saturn Avenger vs. Terror Robot, a mercifully short film done in the 90s to ape the crappier genre films of the 50s. There's a lot of love in the production, but not much else that would elevate it beyond something kids would shoot on their iphone.
