Great to hear! I have about 3 days left on my 10 day investigation period.

 

Yeah, I didn't use Paypal for my abctoyshop123 order (oops) but I went through eBay and had to go through the motions of contacting the seller and asking for a refund. Their system gives the seller 3 or 4 days to respond, but after that I was able to "ask eBay to step in" and they handled my refund that same day.

But really, the seller had solid triple-digit feedback over six years before going rogue; I don't think there's much anybody could have done to avoid it.

 

I think initially it was for the most part, but most of my experiences in the last year have been that SpeedPAK is just as fast, if not faster than most of my China Post shipments, but with really annoying tracking inconsistency, but even then, tracking results have improved considerably, too. I've still almost never had a package from China take longer than a package from Japan, even when it got lost for 3 weeks.

 

Huh. The 10-day period for the seller to reply is over, my tracking info still says "shipment data received" only, but my Paypal dispute has been at "Being reviewed by PayPal" for 3 days now with an "Estimated Resolution Date" of Oct. 21. Guess I better call them today.

@ChromeMagnus I believe we were discussing this in another thread, not sure which one though and it seems appropriate to follow up here. But remember how we were talking about eBay charging sales tax in more states (including mine, CA) starting October 1? And you asked "even if it's a Chinese (or overseas) seller?" Well I tried just now and the answer is yes. When I get to final checkout, buying from hzj401, I now have a sales tax line item added to the transaction, with an * that says "*We're required by law to collect sales tax for certain tax authorities." So I guess eBay collects it and sends to CA tax franchise.

So... that sucks.

 

Just wanna update on tongliang5218. Originally he had 16 Koots when I ordered one. He sold out of those and then added 10 more for 26 total, now he's up to 32 sold and 8 more available. All at like 2/3rds the price of everyone else, so I'd watch out with him.

Ah gotcha. Sorry to hear about that. Ebay doesn't charge tax in my state of GA thankfully. I can see why so many Hollywood production companies are setting up shop here.

My Star Saber arrived in perfect condition and even included the collector's coin (which I have 0 interest in, so hit me up if you want me to chuck it in the mail from Holland for a hefty sum). I also ordered Loudpedal from Day366 and will be checking their listings again today for any other good offers  

 

Hmm. I thought it was the official MP Star Saber that had weak joints therefore needing the Star Saber joint upgrade kit (made by KFC if I recall).

 

Oh I have been paying sales tax but when the seller from China gave me my refund they gave me my taxes back too! Also EBay changes u it separate from the transaction! It’s such crap!

I think that it's the original. It includes the coin. I don't recall any of the KOs ever having coins?

Got my Paypal refund for my abctoyshop123 this morning.
I hope they're successful getting authorities to hunt the guy down. He sold 66 Ecto-35 Primes at $197 USD each = $13,000 USD he potentially got away with _for one listing_. How many TE-01s did he 'sell'?
Paypal made me whole again, but I don't like having contributed to this kind of thing.
I'm very interested to see if tongliang5218 follows the same pattern.

 

Yeah I think he sold about 50-55 TE-01’s, at $115 each. He definitely caught a lot of people . You can see the big numbers by how far his feedback is dropping now, he’s down to 81.9% with 52 negative this month and like 5 more each day.

 

Just came to report that meimeiaini257 on eBay is good! Got my Megten is just 8 days and it was packed perfect with no damage to the box or item!

Meanwhile, keep and eye out for eBay Feedback profile for xchzhh9999 it looks like he about to go rouge.

 

Right it sucks so much esp when we are buying from another country why are we paying taxes that doesn’t apply! Such crap!!

 

Just saw the complaints for abctoyshop123... ordered from them early last month.. estimated delivery is Oct7.. can i already file a refund agnst them? Or do i have to wait aftr oct 7 to file? Tia

 

No tracking. Hmm any other info?? Think you need to wait but we all the bad info lately you could try it now. Maybe telling what you learned here would be enough to start.
