Please someone apply for the job that is a fan at heart of classic G1 and can bring the right product to market for collectors. One that appeals to the masses.

Whoever gets the job, slap some sense into the MP designers. This jigsaw-backpacker aesthetic isn't working and 100% Sunbow isn't worth it.

I'm actually hoping for the opposite, I want someone who's far less obsessed with G1 than the current design team.

The engineering is off, ball joints galore that pop off. Plastic prices that break, I miss cleaner lines and alt modes, ratchet joints etc.

Righomeone who's a fan of Transformers in general.
Right, a transformers fan in general should be what people want. Getting tired of G1 only demands. I like G1 but there's other eras.

They weren't perfect, but the idea of just re-doing G1 over and over again until they meet your standards is kind of unfair to the other 2 decades of Transformers that suceeded G1. There's two other generations of people who've got to satisfy their existential dread over their age with nostalgia, y'know? You're holdin' up the line!

For some perspective, in the last decade, CHUG's only given us three BW characters, 1 BM character, and 2 UT character (approaching 3 with Hot Shot.) Less than 10 or so characters have been in CHUG that aren't even G1!

Can they accommodate flight expenses to their HQ? I live in south carolina and I'm very interested.

Huh. Graphic design background? Got that.
Multitasking abilities? Got that in spades.
Sense of humor? Got that, too.
Leadership ability. I’m being modest, but yeah, I have that.
    Team skills? Yes.
TF knowledge? I have plenty of that.

I could actually apply for this. I’m not going to, but it’s nice to know I could do it.

Maybe. They want you to familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator so it's probably more of an art position but having other skills would probably be a plus. I think Takara does most of the engineering design but that's just from what I heard on here (and we know how wacky this site can be).

The job listing highlighted engineering as a focus, figured I would ask, make sure I'm in the right engineering

Looking at the "what you'll bring" section, Solidworks (which my friends used in industrial engineering) was a plus but not a requirement which makes me think that engineering is a bonus but art is the main part of the job. After all, proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator are both required, while any 3D CAD modeling is not. However, you are in the correct engineering for it, but there are lots of cross-over between the different types of engineering so any would work. In aerospace engineering, we learned parts of mechanical and materials. Even industrial engineering learns parts of aerospace (though industrial engineering is unflatteringly referred to as "imaginary engineering" by the rest of the engineering students when I went to school).

Fair enough. Though Adobe could be self taught, I would think

It sure can. Even I learned it and my drawing skills leave much to be desired.

Welp. this is perfect for me! I have all the qualifications and my best drafting program happens to be Solidworks. I'd have to move though but it would be worth it.
