Could they have picked a worse white for Apeface? :\

 

I cancelled my preorder for that (pearlescent plastic); now we're finding out the Headmaster does not sit in the cockpit, but under the wing. This, despite the Apehead ending up there in altmode, all this time, i thought the ape head served as a cockpit....
Some TR BS in my opinion. But I'm loving the rest of the line.

 

I can’t imagine caring about this. I just look at it and think “yep, looks cool.”

Normally I don't either, but my problem with this milky white is that it washes out all detail and makes it look soft and mushy.

 

Is this our first clear look at Apeface's cockpit? It kinda sucks it is a fake cockpit located in the rear of the jet, under the tailfin.

 

Can't wait for this wave. Finally some interesting characters.
I'm witholding judgement on Apeface until I have him in hand.
But I already know that I loath that weathering crap they put all oved him.
Same old Siege BS.

 

I'm happy we're getting a Voyager Apeface. Gimme all of these.

 

Oh cool. Apeface looks good. I was wondering what was up with the strange almost face from the renders, but they actually made this look good. Definitely gonna have to get him now.

 

So robot mode face is actually on the legs and not the back, compared to titan masters having the robot face on the back. Interesting

 

I just want to add the detail that's being washed away is incredible. Its just a shame.

 

Oof, that white plastic. RIP, Apeface.  

 

We've seen it before, but it's no less disappointing. Especially considering G1 Apeface had a beautiful vehicle mode with the opening blue canopy.

 

Ah man, that white plastic really doesn't look good. Still gonna get, but damn.

That is a grey prototype completely painted. Just like looking at CG renders you guys should stop looking at those and painted prototypes and expect that’s what you’re getting.

 

Looks like we\'ve backtracked on Voyager engineering for Apeface, not even a waist swivel.

 

No apparent waist swivel on Apeface makes me wonder if he's an older design that they couldn't quite get out in time for Titans Return. I mean, he seems to be the only figure in this line (except for the battle and micromasters) to lack that joint. It's just weird.

Don't get me wrong, I think the figure looks good, but I don't know if it's quite up to the high standard of the rest of this line.
