Tired of him being the main focus so much of the time? Yes. Tired of him being included? No way.

I’m tired of modern Bumblebees being the speedster action hero being groomed for leader. I think I wouldn’t have minded much if they had called modern Bumblebees Hot Shot instead and be written the same way.

My Bumblebee is from the 80s cartoon and comic.

I like Bumblebee, but I don't like him being leader. I've really liked how they've done Hot Rod in Cyberverse as being his friend, but I hope they give him more to do and eventually become leader, having Bumblebee support his growth and such

Is that really a question? Who would answer "no"?

This is something old g1 cartoon did right. The cast was huge and we didnt focus on the same 5 characters over and over. Sure prime mega and starscream got a lot of screen time. But not even half the run time is focused on them alone.

    Me.

I'm more tired of the same interpretation of him over and over, but that goes for Transformers as a whole now. I want another "Transformers Animated" where we get these classic character reinvented in interesting new ways.

And as a result none of them were particularly memorable or distinct.

I worded my first answer very badly. **"I"** am sick of bumblebee bee.
But the general public has proven they're not. Why else would Hasbro keep making him. I think it clear most people like him.

    I just disagree with that.
Shock wave. Swindle...SWINDLE! Red alert. Cyclonus. The incesticons. Grapple. First aid. Power glide. Tracks. I'm sure I could go on. All character who had maybe one of two episodes focused on them in G1 are are totally beloved for it and in would say are very memorable or distinct for it.

This is a common line of thought which just isn't true that you need a 30+ episodes dedication to the same 5 guys. JusticeLeagueUnlimited TV series was a good example of this. Alot of the old marvel transformer comics is a good example of this, when a character story is done, which may only be a single episode; move on to someone else.
And I loved animated...alot. but I was bored with Bee and Prowl and Bulkhead and wanted to see other characters. I get Bee is a child and needs to grow up, i get just cause Bulkhead is clumsy and has other skills worth while, and prowl=angst-ninja, got it. how many times do they have to learn those same lessons? Move on.

But sadly, for you and me and many others who've ask this same question. Going back the first OP question; Most people who only have a passing interest in stuff don't want new, they want reliable.

I would pay admission many times, if in the next Transformers movie, Rumble would piledriver Bumblebee to scrap. Or Lazerbeak rip off bumblebee's head, then fly off into the sunset. Or Raverage pounces through his body splitting bumblebee in half.

As much as I've come to love Bumblebee, I do agree that he has a tendency to hog the spotlight. Personally, I think the next series after Cyberverse should leave him out and feature a different kid-appeal character. Here's a snippet from a post I made last year:

How about the rest of you? Who do you think should be the next kid-appeal character, and why?

But Hasbro just started pushing him like crazy for no reason. You never heard about Bumblebee for years & then BOOM! 2007 movie & all of a sudden he's rammed down our throats. The general public never even had a chance to choose who they liked. Hasbro basically told everybody that Bumblebee was their favorite character. Whether they agreed or disagreed they didn't have a choice. And then every single piece of merchandise from mugs to beach towels to garbage cans had Optimus & Bumblebee on them while all the other characters were totally ignored.

I get tired of the character simply by reading his name.
    I actually prefer Goldbug.
    Better yet, non-fodder Cliffjumper.
Topspin and Twintwist would have been great movie characters, no real pre-existing versions to differ from.
Ever notice the movies had no love for sea/boat characters?

I'm even tired of Optimus now, even Siege has too many damned releases, at least 4-5 as of last count. Sorry Hasbro, I bought the 1st, and that's it. Quit wasting the release schedule with repaints. (see also: Marvel Legends in 2019, but at least we're still getting lots of unique/new characters there, even if some have no legs <sigh>)

    Movie Bee - Won't talk
Animated Bee - Won't shut up
    G1 Bee - Just right

Actually, I like all three in smaller doses. But the mute thing gets old eventually and the hyperactivity thing gets old fast.

That's because Hasbro lost the trademark for a long time and then got it back. In G1, Bumblebee was one of the very few characters to get more than one toy. If you include Goldbug, he got more figures than anyone else, I believe (original, Goldbug, Pretender, Actionmaster). After they lost the trademark, Hasbro still wanted to keep using him as a prominent character. Hot shot in Armada? That was initially meant to be Bumblebee. 'Bee always got at least a little more attention than most other characters when he's been available for use.

Nah. In the 2007 movie, he was prominent because of Sam's "a boy and his first car" story being central to the film. That was Spielberg's idea (albeit borrowed somewhat from the Marvel comics), not Hasbro's. Remember how Bumblebees were hard to find that year? That's because the public demand far outstripped what Hasbro was anticipating, let alone pushing. Hasbro got way more Bee-centric after that, but it's hard to blame them after the initial demand.

Yes, I'm tired of Bee. Sometimes I'm tired of the entire G1 cast, being made over and over again. Prime was a nice refresh, but like others I want more characters too.

What I really want is something out of left field, like beast wars was. Something no one expected and changed the lore in significant ways.

Is there any chance of that happening again,?

I believe both statements are true.
Hasbro never gave a choice. And everyone thinks its the best character.

Pretty much summed up everything that I wanted to say. My Bee will always be the G1 little bugger Bee, but not the heroic leader type Bee. If I want some heroic young leader types, I'll go to Hot Rod, Sideswipe, Springer, etc. For this reason, I still can't watch Cyberverse...Bee is the attention over Prime?

LOL, totally agreed with you on that one. As much as I hate mute/leader Bee, that's nothing when compare to Windblade in which Hasbro/IDW loves to shovel into our throat!
