Alright this is weird. But here we go.

    The micromasters sound cute.

Cliffjumper, oh shit yeah. That’s gonna be great. My guess is he’ll definitely have the cannon from his first appearance, that’s a given reference. I’m almost certain.

Hoist and Grapple will be great to have. Very excited for those.

Earth Mode Starscream seems like a weird choice but also a chance to make more seekers.

Leader Prime? For real? Better be something like Fire Convoy. That’d really be interesting.

Wheeljack, alright. It better be the fat taxi alt-mode.

Also Ironworks. Okay. Probably gonna be a Weaponiser.

Watch it'll be Energon Optimus Prime.

Sounds more like a replacement to Weaponisers, Omega needs to connect his ramps to things.

That would be a welcome surprise. I've personally always liked that design.

In for the Micromasters. Hope Countdown gets a release without his overpriced, oversized co-pack too.

Only Wheeljack for me, and only if it's good...
Bought that RtS/United Wheeljack that's since lived in a bin for about 9 years.

Making Earth Modes doesn’t make the Tetras obsolete.

I hope the leader prime is the Armada Prime we saw at a Japanese Hobby show some odd months ago. C'mon Hasbro give Armada prime some justice.

A new Cliffjumper!! Please tell me it's a buggy vehicle. My collection has been sorely lacking Cliffjumper because the Classics toy was a poor repaint and we never got a Takara retool. All my years of waiting for a new figure have finally paid off... I hope. Please let this be the Deluxe Cliffjumper I've always wanted.

A new Hoist figure was also on my most wanted list. The Generations figure was a piece of junk and we've needed a new Hoist ever since. Give us a Trailbreaker retool as well.

Grapple is nice. The RTS figure was a little 'meh', so I'd be happy for an update with Inferno to boot. I hope Hasbro takes cues from the MP figures and make the crane/ladder fold into the back.

Wheeljack is a surprise. I like the Generations toy, but it is a little on the stumpy side. If Hasbro can do better while still maintaining discreet weapon storage, I'd be down for that. And a possible Tracks retool?

My only complaint: No Sunstreaker. Siege Sideswipe and Red Alert are still missing the third Lambo, and that's prevented me from replacing my Universe figures. I hope Hasbro will provide the missing link.

Did the Tetrajets make previous Generations Seekers obsolete? Does every new figure of an individual character make its previous versions obsolete, or can each one still be enjoyed and appreciated for what it is?

With as many times as these characters have been revised your question truly puzzles me. :)

The product codes throw a little doubt on MP Cliffjumper. An MP plus 3 deluxes..... and then the same 3 deluxes show up with a deluxe Cliffjumper?
The Hasbro product codes are clue to the order in which events occur, lower numbers earlier in time, higher later.

    E7157 Deluxe Ironworks

E7670 Micromaster Mega Value 10 Pack

So I'd guess this Ironworks was created before the 10 pack, even though we got the 10 pack first.

We don't know what it is yet..... But assume for a second it is Iron Fist. Hasbro discover they can't use the name, thanks to Marvel/Danial Rand - the Epic Collection is top stuff. Fistiron gets voted down, possibly because someone recalls MOTU Fisto sounding slightly rude. They grab the Ironworks name knowing they're not going to the Micromaster base toy because Powertrain's retool is destined to be Big Hauler.

Then retailers summon the Exclusive Apocalypse, they want Ironworks as a quick and easy repaint for the 10 pack, discover the name is on the incoming list already and pick something else.....

    =-

The alternate version of the theory says this is MM Ironworks, with a base using the connectors on Omega Supreme and Astrotrain. The 10 pack comes along and they go for a different name to differentiate the toys and create confusion amoungst us fans.

Except that in the listings posted here the Deluxe Cliffjumper is E7155 whereas the other listing distinctly said MP49_Cliff(LYC).

If we can get an answer on the source of the other listing, that could help a lot.

Echoing this; redoing Starscream (and God knows how many more) so soon would feel a bit 'wrong'. It's like saying: 'ok the tetrajets had a good 6 months, now it's time to make room for new versions'. I do understand the 'options are great' motto, but I would have preferred them to expand on Siege, both character and concept wise. Because I also wonder how this could affect the Cybertron theme of this second part.

Yes, getting a bit ahead of things. But putting it out here nonetheless.

For the same reason we got CW Ultra Magnus before an Optimus Prime retool.
