I've warmed up to most of this figure- but the headsculpt still bothers me. I can't help but see this in the latest photos. Is this his neutral face?

the mouth on neutral face is sculpt that depend on the angle you are looking at , it's different. for example if you look down it's like he's smiling , if you look up it's like he's frowning

And there's a huge difference between critique/discussion and ridiculous hyberbolic one sentence posters who come in simply to shit on the figure, which is clearly where the defense is coming from here.

On the hasbro photo mistransformations in marketing info / on box - you know this really is quite silly for a big company. Most industries (i work in 1) where you have photos or other printed info, the item in question is proof read/viewed and signed off by a number of different people generally including at least 1 (very) senior manager. It isnt just down to the photographer or writer to get it right...

On to the figure - its amazing the amount of character they managed to get into such a tiny figure. Yes the back panels and feet arent perfect but for such a tiny figure are forgivable (the back looks better than v1 too) and the overall look is fantastic. Certainly a major upgrade from v1 for those of us who want toon/movie accuracy.

As i mentioned in a post a couple months back, this style looks good for Bee, along with the other minicons.  The astectics of the line would benefit from their scrutched appearance and fat tires; especially in the cases of Windcharger and Cliffjumper.

I see the minicons the same as the Seekers of Inferno/Grapple.  Retain some real world counterparts but lean towards the characters source material.  In fact, i remember ppl bitching about the orginal seekers alt mode looking too real world, and not enough like theirselves.

im sure if Blitzwing and Astrotrn were released, they would take the same route.  Real world is perfect for the \"deluxe\" carbot characters, however, minicons were ALWAYS disproportionate.

They seem to be stock images provided by Hasbro to In Demand Toys.

His feet look like they were "inspired" by 4 or 5 flattened beer cans glued to a thick stick.

People are still complaining about the Hasbr/Takara stock photos. There’s a plethora of in hand pictures throughout this thread and videos online. We know what this MP actually looks like. Why continue to stand on that hill? I have no clue.

It's just a running joke at this point that's gone on for a few years now when it comes to MPs in shows and in stock photos. It's not that serious. (Though, the fact that we're already intimately familiar with the proper transformation - as you said, because of all the images we already have, as well as the videos - makes the mistransformations stand out even more when they're seen lol. Naturally people are going to comment. I would just get used to it happening and try to see the humor in it. It's not meant to be malicious.)

Mistransformed promotional photos are this fandom inside joke. My ten cents about it (but no SS Brawl to go with them). The tradition and all...

MP-45 feet were supposedly inspired by a Burning Man artpiece.
