Agreed. I'd pick up a few more the Burts now but I don't get paid til next week. I don't have a Cog yet. I decided to pass on him and changed my mind after he wasn't at Walmart anymore.

If I may add about the Walmart return-and-rebuy convo: That's all pretty much accurate, glad someone added the "7 day price adjustment window."

BUT - it depends on how chill the person behind the counter is. The price adjustment doesn't apply to clearance items (say you bought something on clearance, then it dropped again in the week and is all gone so you only have your original item - they may not honor the new price).

ALSO - Walmart has a 24hr wait policy on returns. They really aren't supposed to return it, then sell it right back to you across the counter. So be prepared for that, and/or to throw a tantrum for your toy.

I noticed Rakuten, formerly e-bates, has 5% off eBay Toys Category right now. Combine with the 8% bucks offer if you got it, that gets you to 13%. Not perfect, but not too terrible.

Also, I'm reading several states, including mine, get added to the list of states charged sales tax on 10/1. Plan your purchases accordingly.

Edit: Some can still get 5% Discover--that gets you 18% if you are select few. Fewer still might be able to stack the TEN4Fall (10%) coupon for 28%.

Have a link to the list of states that they are going to start charging tax on? Wondering if I should finally pull the trigger on a couple things in my eBay cart I've been waiting for a sale on. Not really worth waiting around for who knows how long for a 10% flash sale if it's going to end up costing me an extra ~8% in tax anyway.

 

If you do a quick search of eBay tax and your state, it’ll tell you the info. Apparently Illinois will start charging tax at the beginning of 2020.

 

Apparently my state (MN) already started doing that at the beginning of the year. Either I haven't bought anything off eBay this year or I just never noticed I guess...
