I'm almost done with Nightingale's rifle.. and I had an idea. For spits and giggles, I'm tempted to start weighing my kits. Before and After I've cemented and painted them. Here it is after my initial fusion and sanding. I just need to know how much of the weight changes with the added layers. and here it is today. with the sight component, barrel, and bipod ready to finish painting and attach. There's also a HiQ Parts lens in there too.
11 and 1/4 inches long. Nightingale is the larger "Alternative" version of Sazabi from the novel version of Char's Counterattack.
GFFMC Wing Gundam (Code Snow White) TENTATIVE NAME Release Date: TBA Price: TBA https://www.gundamkitscollection.com/2019/09/gffmc-wing-gundam-code-snow-white.html
All these years of Snow White being this mysterious Wing Zero variant, now we're finally seeing it as a figure. It looks like the inner wings are Drei Zwerg with feathers. Wonder if that means a model won't be too far behind.. Question is P.Bandai Exclusive Master Grade or P. Bandai Exclusive Real Grade?
I still want a V2 of the Wing Zero MG. Also, my Mandarake DID in fact come today. I'm blown away, and so far I upgraded the Banshee and built the HG 1/100 Wing Gundam. The Banshee upgrade is fine, but the box was so thin it wasn't even a normal Gunpla slip top box. It was more like a typical toy packaging box with a flap on one end. It was only three runners and super basic, which is to be expected, but all it does is reinforce how cheap and stupid it is of Bandai to make the two Banshees separate releases or make the OVA parts exclusive add-ons. It should realistically all be in one box. I'm pleasantly surprised by Wing, though. This old kits have such a dated charm to them and having them next to their modern counterparts never ceases to amaze how far we've come. Also, the old Wing/Wing Zero kits didn't do something new kits always do: they didn't oversize the Buster Rifles. Yeah, I know the Buster is a powerful weapon, but when they make them longer than the suit is tall I always think it looks a little silly. I like how manageable they look on the old kits, and combined with the chunkier proportions and excess panel lines makes them look more rugged and machine-like.
I had a feeling they were gonna do it like that. I said it was either gonna be a whole new release or a PG style upgrade set. Yeah, Banshee's AA/VN/BS parts are so much cooler than the Norn set up.
You would think with the "Version EW" kits, they would have done a 1.5 with HANDS THAT CAN HOLD THE BUSTER RIFLES!
The (Motor King model) Xamel is more of a desert tan color anyway but it's rust orange by the time it appears in 0083.
I missed working on an RG. Been 5 years since I last touched one (Zeta, my first kit. Do not recommend). would like for it to have this pose on the shelf once done but I know the shoulder bells are going to clash with the chest.
I feel like you migth be able to fudge that pose with the armour on. It's really the hips on the Exia that are ridiculously limited.
Won't be surprised if it's P-Bandai. They did the MG Wing Zero with Messer Zwerg 2 years ago I think. They just need to add feathers to the Messer Zwerg and voila! Snow White!
Yea if the 3/5 main gundam from the endless waltz movie were p bandai you could bet your bottom a design from a light novel(?) or whatever form of media frozen tear drop is will 100% be p bandai.
Fifty Five minutes later... It's not hard. just pull the arms forward and twist the waist, compensate the rotation of the left arm with the waist. brings the body more center but you're never going to get the 'perfect' centered stance. But it can be done!!!! EDIT: It can be done slightly if you disconnect the weapon from the forearm slot. Yeah, simple as that.. I could technically try it myself with the Double Drei Zwerg I got for my RG Wing Zero.. which also can also be cannibalized to make Tallgeese Flugel..
Why is there always SOMETHING that holds back any given Exia kit from being as agile as it should be?
I decided Exia's final pose will be a jump-stab pose with the sword arm raised and bent over the head while the shield arm is outstretched to grab someone's head unit. also learned about Akatsuki Gundam today, it's the name of a gundam action figure I had as a child back in 03/04 but didn't know the name of. the 1/100 NG is undergated, gold vacuum-metalized, and has two different booster packs the Want list grows....
