Some day I will come across a Vindicator/Guardian that doesn't have a shit paint job. Saw two of him over in Tuscon this past weekend and the maple leaf on both of them was terrible. Not worth $20. I've also decided I'm going to hold off on getting Silver Samurai, Thor, Cannonball, and X-Force Wolverine until they are on sale or something.

No, I never implied the sky was falling, merely that Dani is few and far between, and I fear she might never show up online or in my local stores. Based on recent history, I think that's a completely rational assumption. You might think it's an overreaction, but considering I'm still waiting on Reed, Thing, and Emma to show up in the wild (and I only saw Mystique, Surfer, and Iron Doom once)... when do you think is an appropriate amount of time to assume the window of opportunity has passed? At this point, virtually ANY amount of time is probably an indicator that I'm likely headed to the secondary market. So no, not early in the slightest. The dusty stacks of Antman, Daredevil, Medusa, and Namor all nod in agreement.

I think @smkspy is onto something. They clogged shelves with so-so exclusives, and based on lukewarm sales reduced the number produced of future exclusives. Then they chose desirable characters and figures many collectors would likely want to buy multiples of and made modest numbers of them. That's an excellent recipe for a manufactured, self-inflicted shortage.

Recently just started collecting MLs...actually just this year. Can someone school me with previous early years of packaging? Bought a few "NIB" older figures from ebay and some of them dont have a tape on the box. Not sure if it's been opened or if the earlier packaging didnt use tape.

Exampme: I bought two nova from groot wave. One has tape one doesn't.

Early ML with the "Infinite" tag, to my knowledge didn't have tape on the sides I think.

Went to an unfamiliar Walgreens, hoping to find the new Black Series Obi-Wan or some other exclusive. I did indeed find an exclusive.

He's talking about the single pack cap, not the 2- pack. there are just color differences and the 2-pack version has two closed fists. Also, the 2-pack shield is shiny with no damage. I just got 2-pack cap and spider bagged. I already had worthy cap but it has a stiff ankle.

Edit: I do see some detail differences in the molds but it's negligible IMO.

Worthy Cap is better. It’s the best 1/12 MCU Cap figure, but it’s super hard to find for fair prices because of Walmart’s poor distribution

No worries! We're all glad to help. I personally can't say which version of Cap is better, since I don't own the Worthy version, but the consensus seems to be that Worthy Cap is the better-looking figure.

"Completely different" may have been hyperbolic, but they are different molds, at least in the abdomen. Not sure about the other pieces.

My hope is to get one to keep MISB, so I’d need to find them in store to actually look and make sure the paint apps are passable. After my horrendous first copy of 80th Cap from their website, I’m not taking that gamble again sadly

    Oh man. What happened?

Mine were pretty good except for the eyes. He looks like Igor from Young Frankenstein.

Star was super out of alignment, eyes weren’t great, head wings had unsightly glue at the base, etc. Just wasn’t up to standard. My second one’s eyes still aren’t perfect, but they’re better. And everything else is muuuch better.

So yeah, I don’t wanna deal with that again with a MISB Worthy Cap. I either need to see it in person, or I’ll just wait for a trinity three pack that has more availability

One last question for today i want to try (and most likly fail) to limit the marvel legnds figures i pick up so which ones out of these are the best say 15ish (2 packs count as one i also know that some of these aren't out yet)

    Agent anti-Venom
    Doctor Doom
    Spider armor MK3
    Velocity suit spiderman
    Moon knight (Homecoming series)
Venom (monster venom series unless someone knows a better venom figure within the same price range)
Captain marvel (CM movie normal variant)
    IW Thor
    Worthy Captain America
    EG Rescue
    FFH Spiderman
    FFH Mysterio
    Korg and grandmaster
    Luis and ghost
    IW Ironman spiderman 2 pack
    EG War machine
    FFH Night monkey
    Beta ray bill
    Talos
    Civil war 2019 Vision
    2019 heimdall
    X Force wolverine
    IW black panther
    Deadpool (with scooter)
    Big time spiderman
    Giantman
    Invincible ironman
    Jack o'lantern
    Goldiearms (Ironman MK85)
    Scourge and hela 2 pack
    Vulture

I'm also picking up the entire EG Thanos BAF wave
    Which are
    Ronin
    Citizen V
    Living laser
    Hercules
    Nighthawk
    Ebony maw

That puts me up to 37 figures currently on my want list if any of these are bad or if there are any that i should put on here let me know (FYI i am a mostly MCU collector)

Edit i added Mcu Vulture agent anti-venom Velocity suit spider armor MK3 and Doctor doom

    My picks

Captain marvel (CM movie normal variant)
    IW Thor
    Worthy Captain America
    EG Rescue
    FFH Spiderman
    FFH Mysterio
    Korg and grandmaster
    Luis and ghost
    2019 heimdall
    X Force wolverine
    EG black panther
    Big time spiderman
    Goldiearms (Ironman MK85)
    Scourge and hela 2 pack

Honestly most MCU Marvel Legends are pretty good, and these recent two packs and upcoming wave 3 Avengers are great

I don't know about 15 best, but I'll just add some personal feedback of my own for some of the figures you've listed:

    • Night Monkey - I bought it solely for the charm of the nickname from the film, and the BAF part; if you don't care about Molten Man, then I hope you legit like the suit. Figure's fine but rather plain and simplistic, and even the Figuart version is only so much better. Paying $20ish for this is better than $100ish from the Figuart, but you're still left with a pretty nuts & bolts figure.
    • X-Force Wolverine - Much more fun and striking in-hand than I thought it'd be, and Hasbro's slowly covering multiple members of that X-Force lineup
    • Invincible Iron Man - I'm assuming you mean the Okoye wave one? Best of the modern comic Iron suits out there, but less of a priority for me with the 80th Iron Man out there.
    • Jack O'Lantern - Very lanky and interesting looking, but he uses the old-style hips and it's not easy to get him to grasp his weapon or get him to stay upright
    • Scourge/Hela - A lot easier to track down this Hela, with better accessory options, than the Gladiator Hulk wave solo release; Karl Urban's Scourge is a nice bonus
    • Scooterpool - The stickers help make a silly release charming for me, and Dogpool actually has a neck joint so it's not entirely a static lump of plastic. If you get tired of Deadpool though, this release may not resonate with you nearly as much.
    • CW Vision - If you already have a Wanda (previous Legends release, or the upcoming Figuart), picking this up is easiest, and a lot cheaper than the two-pack version with Wanda. If you don't have Wanda and want one, it may be easier to wait for a two-pack version to go up for "cheap," unless you can manage a loose Wanda or spring for the (not-cheap) Figuart.
    • Captain Marvel - Likeness isn't great for Brie, but honestly all the ML options for MCU Carol are solid
    • MCU Rescue - Okay but kinda boring due to lack of accessories. I'm hoping we still get a Figuart version, as Bandai's shown they can at least nail Iron Person armors. If you really want to complete that Hulk though, this is still the best option for Rescue.
    • Beta Ray Bill - It's fine and decently hefty, but a lot of us are hoping and waiting for his classic look to be made rather than his more recent one here. If you also like his classic look, it may be worth waiting, unless, again, you want to complete the Hulk BAF.
    • Giant-Man - Assuming you mean the upcoming re-release of the BAF from Amazon, definitely easier to just spring for this guy over tracking down his original wave, or loose complete versions. He's not HUGE, but still has some decent size to him.
    • Talos - His cloak limits his posability a bit unless you remove it (which you can). I feel a bit similarly here as I do about Night Monkey; if Ben Mendelsohn's portrayal really resonated with you, he'll be fun to get. I dig him for that reason. If it didn't, he's another ordinary figure (no accessories beyond the BAF part).
    • Venom - I prefer the earlier version with the McFarlane head, though this one's a decent update/re-release, with the Eddie Brock head. I have no idea what the previous version typically goes for on the secondary market compared the Monster Venom wave version.
    • Moon Knight - Similar to Bill; modern costume is fine, but if you prefer his classic, mostly white look, you may prefer to wait for that to get done instead.
