V3 finally in the states. Cant wait to compare it to my v1. This is the first figure I've ever bought a double of, I'd even be down for a painted version. It just hits all the right check marks for me. If they moulded that bare grey plastic piece in the waist white, it'd be close to perfect for me.

Thanks. I didn't even know about the V3. But I saw it at ShowZ for 99 shipped no tax. That's pretty good IMO, but if anyone knows of an even better deal let me know. Also, I wonder if they are doing a V4. This company has been upgrading their product with lightning speed ....went from stupid face V1 to cool face V3 in a matter of a few months. How cool is that. Love it, but kind of worried about better and better versions coming along ...........like better paint.

 

Yeah, that's where I got mine, I think it's $15 cheaper than the V2 was. If showZ sells out again maybe we'll see V4

 

I'd be annoyed if v4 came with matching side coloured windows to the front (like their Nemisis version) and pissed at myself for not holding out longer before replacing my v1. Sigh, such is third party

 

Yeah, I get that they fix things each release but it would be annoying if it was an actual mistake that they fix on the next one

 

Mine is inbound from baba's store but I have no clue if it's a version 2 or 3. Other than a window color change and smooth left shoulder are there any other changes?

 

The v1 head is no longer white, the mask / face plate is a matching grey to the v2 head. It's a much needed improvement I feel. I like that the v1 can look down with greater range of motion too

 

Just received my V3 today. Feels really high quality and nice tight joints.

 

It wouldn't work. The paint would scratch off due to the transformation and tolerance issues. The color would need to be molded into the plastic. Paint accents like the yellows oranges, and other stuff would be fine. The legs and hipskirt molded in a nice shinny silver. Face mask. Etc..

 

Man I would love a G1 toy color version. Chromed out, dark blues, yellow eyes, etc. Aaaanyway. Just ordered a V3 from Show.z

Got this guy the other day from showstorez. Took longer than it usualy does from them but arrived safe and sound and for 99? Freaking steal. Swapped the head immediately as the one that comes installed is super tragic looking. Glad I got this instead of spending almost 600 Canadian on mp44.

 

Mine should arrive today   Took about 2 weeks to get him to Poland. Also send from Show.Z Store.

I also received my v3 today. Beautiful figure. Great sculpt, nice heft, feels really solid. My only complaint is I wish they had not frosted the windows. I prefer the look of the original windows. If they were going to frost the windows, a darker blue would have been better, similar to MP-44. The original shade of blue they had on the v1 and v2 was perfect and had they made that shade more opaque, I think it would have looked much better. As it is, this light shade of frosting looks more like the cell-shaded stickers that I dislike. Even with that complaint, I still love this figure.

That looks really good. Bummer on the windows, I liked the previous windows as well. Did they fix the different shades of red on top of his cab?

 

In a few days I will share my edits for your Primes, I'm almost finishing the last version of the windows. They are very easy to apply (no adhesive, no permanent modification), you only have to print them in glossy paper to get vivid colors (or in a normal paper). ^^

 

I don't think it would be so tragic... MP44 is completely painted, even Megatron MP36, and the IT one does not scratch on transformation
