The blast effects are awesome. I've been using them with other figures as hit points in battle. They look fantastic.

They are probably the best effect parts we've had so far! I like to use mine as "impact blasts" hitting the ground around the figures on the shelf.

And yes, Shockwave's arm is very badly positioned in that photo!

Mine has reasonably good QC......the wrists don’t stay put but there aren’t any egregious issues

man. I do love Don Figueroa’s Jetfire artwork. As scummy as all the dreamwave stuff was when it went down...It was an interesting story and I’m sad more for of it didn’t get told bc of some scummy business practices.

That said. IDW has done an amazing job manning the helm of the comics franchise.

Here’s hoping we get a Sunstorm so we could recreate the cover of Issue 6(?)......

Picked this guy up yesterday since Walmart was clearancing him off for half off.

Great piece, quite well done. I’m pretty happy I picked him up.

I hope this size class gets more releases with more interesting character choices. It feels like a great price point to let the designers have a little bit of experimentation

Is this just Walmarts in a small area or do we have word of widespread clearances?

No clue, he was only at one of the Walmart’s near me. A lot of the 80th anniversary marvel stuff is also on sale, which I’ve seen reported a lot so maybe it’s wide spread? Seems odd to me since all of it is a recent release.

If you guys are still wanting him, go take a look. Hoping for the best! Hope you guys get a good deal too

The Rainmaker, Novastorm IS technically Sunstorm (at least, that's more than likely how Hasbro see's it). ;)

Though I admit, I really wish he had his proper deco as seen here:

I knowwww I know, the set came from one single screenshot. lol this:

What's a good flight stand for an alt mode display?

Great figure, if I didn't already have FT would have happily paid the original MSRP, but the clearance price was just too good to resist.

Hasbro’s actually gone out of their way to establish that the yellow Rainmaker isn’t Sunstorm. Back before Nova Storm had a name, they confirmed in a Q&A session that the yellow Rainmaker wasn’t Sunstorm. And now the yellow Rainmaker has a name and color scheme that are unique from Sunstorm. They’re separate characters.

I went ahead and bought the Toyhax set for this guy and just finally finished putting it on tonight. Copy/pasting my thoughts from a post I made in my sightings thread:

For those of you who have Jetfire, this may be of interest. I like that they did a Skyfire cartoon accurate toy, but in my heart I’ve always been a Jetfire guy after getting him for my 6th birthday. I’ve never purchased any Toyhax (Reprolabels) sets before, partially due to cost and partially because they look a little too busy for my taste. Then I saw that they did a set to homage the stickers and decals on the original G1 Jetfire toy, and I had to take the plunge. Look at yours and then compare it to these pics of mine after I applied (most of the) sticker set. See what a difference it makes? He’s a little less Skyfire cartoony, but the toy looks amazing like this.

    778DC940-F44D-4F11-AA6A-FFA4C71C59C4.jpeg CF0B2968-FA06-4EB2-B3D6-88A23D1CAD90.jpeg E44356EE-39D0-4BDA-A24B-779BB8A523CE.jpeg

I used almost the whole set. About the only major stuff I didn’t use was the Decepticon chest panel for the armor, and the animation cel shaded window stickers. I used those just on the back of the jet pack, but otherwise I prefer the blue tinted windows as they came.

Yeah I wouldn’t say he needs the stickers, but it certainly makes an awesome transformer even better

Way too many stickers... it looks laden with some type of human illness or disease. For an AWESOME figure those stickers are out of place.
