Hmmm, i've noticed these songs have some chill vibes going with them. I wonder if the rest of the album would have something more in the hot-blooded side.

 

Why are they only doing this now, though? The album came out 3 years ago.

 

I find it odd too. I guess to promote the album? But it's the case, i'm still kinda baffled.

If you like Gigatink, check out ‘Mountain Man’ off of Crash Kings’ first album. That whole eponymous album is pretty good, much better than this recent outing, IMHO. No lead guitar, just bass, drums, and an electronic organ with a whammy bar.

The latest video was so bad, I could only listen to the first 30 seconds. But like a Michael Bay film...

 

Probably because noone bought it, on account of it being sh1t.

 

I can't comment on the shows, but dance music is, for me, preferable to middle of the road, American style guitar, ahem, "music" (with the exception of the Foo Fighters).

 

Foo fighters is about as middle of road as it gets.
If I were to get a proper band involved in a TF soundtrack, I'd grab Sabaton, Gloryhammer, Grailknights, or Turisas.
Impressive guitar solo that work wonderfully for action scenes. And just the right kind of cheesy orchestral and lyrical bombast, the kind that made the 86 movie soundtrack so memorable.

 

Well, anything must be better than the stuff vomited up for this and the Bay films so far.

 

No, @Black Convoy, I am NOT ready to roll out and sing along. You caught me eating lunch. Besides, methinks there are better things to sing.

I think this opinion is so prevalent because much of this board's user base are of a generation that grew up with a different musical taste, but as someone who has a lot of nostalgia for the first 3 movies, I especially enjoy "What I've Done" and "New Divide".

Not just generational, but geographical. Some might say that the type of rock music used in films like this caters more to America, than to other countries. For example, dance music has tended to be more popular in the UK than American rock.

Anyway, I don't like this latest offering either. Nothing on this album has given a very TF vibe for me.

 

I love it. Transformers: Prime was the first series for me to watch, and I've always liked it. The CGI, the epicness, lol.
