I'm sure others have the unclean sprue marks on theirs. Mine has a chip on the front of the toe, and I’ve only just opened the box. :lolol

Ok. Gotcha. Am intetested in the shiny G1 inspired Autobot emblems. They're quite snazzy imho.

Ummm...... I’m not talking about the unclean sprue marks, I’m talking about the leg cover on the wheel not closing properly.

A lot of people have the same issue. Count me as one of them.

Feel a little down this morning, I sold my MP44 pre order on eBay ages ago.. Got it shipped from Japan straight to the eBay GSP centre to then mail out to the customer.
This was weeeeks ago. Found out it had arrived at the centre Sept 2 and not been delivered since.
Bless the buyer's patience for not kicking up a storm.
Contacted eBay and they actually refunded the customer in full at their own expense..

I'm wondering if poor Optimus fell off a conveyer belt and is laying in a dusty oblivion or if someone stole him.
Feels like such a waste of something so beautiful.

I'm personally going to wait for the reissue, the leg mechanism will likely receive a running change. I expect some paint resilience to be adjusted and some other small revisions.
I remember the reissue of Ultra Magnus cleaned up the ugly sprue marks from his forearms.
I'd personally always advise collectors who double-dip to get one first edition and one second edition.

Yeah, that stuff always worries me. Another reason why I prefer alternate redecos and retools of figures. They’re often made better.

The truck mode is really annoying me! No matter how hard I try those fuel tank just will not clip in.

I've made sure the blue tab that sits between the legs is tabbed into the crotch area so as to push everything up. It's all so close, but it still refuses to tab in.

It's at the point where I'm almost thinking 'ah, it'll do' but it's just so annoying. 20190921_135219.jpg 20190921_135212.jpg 20190921_135152.jpg [

The rest of the cab is all nice and flush.

MP-44 is most definitely not a cheap date! A struggle… well, yeah. Just try a little tenderness. :D

The knees in my Prime also "moved freely" and held any position/pose I put him in.

If I didn't know it was broken i would never have questioned it! It was only the video that someone posted here of how the knees were supposed to sound (i.e both sets of ratchets in each knee) that I found out.

I still believe that there are some collectors out there that have no idea their Prime is faulty.I
If they do not frequent these boards or simply don't play/overly pose their figures they'd never know.

I haven’t done the knee fix and so far haven’t had any problems. I’ve also bent the knees quite a lot.

Maybe see if there’s any extra flash molding in there holding it up ? Or Maybe try squeezing it closed ?

Maybe the knees need to be bent back another click? Also looks like the blue piece sticking up above the front half of the gas tank is not latched onto the blue piece sticking up above the back half of the gas tank. I transformed mine to truck mode and back last night for the first time and it took about an hour, mostly because I missed two steps and had to go back and re-do, but in the end I got him all flush. Wasn't easy! But the arms have to be clicked in correctly and the knees have to be on the correct click (which is a trick!). Only took 20 min or less to turn him back to bot, though. No problems there. Gonna go for it again tonight to really get it down pat.

Rando quick n dirty deskshots. Just can't get enough of this guy. Dream toy come true for me. Bummer that knee problems have cast a dark cloud over this miraculous figure.

Painted the starscream head “more accurate” in my eyes. Compared to my friend’s original starscream head

You're right. Prime is a classy bot and demands fine dining.

I know it's boring to just recreate poses from a figure's box but last night was the most fun I've had with a Transformers figure in a long time. I actually posed him and messed around the accessories for about an hour. I haven't done that since I was a kid. MP-44 is the best. 20190921_003849.jpg 20190921_001201.jpg 20190921_003911.jpg 20190921_003816.jpg
