I dont have many. Ratchets, logo indentation are all I can think of. I've never transformed him, though.

 

Ordered a v3. I'll see what QC is like in hand compared to my V1. I really do want to do a parts swap to lose the tinted blue shade windows. Anyone who does it, or plans to, please share the how. TIA

 

More articulation on the level of mp44 would probably make TE the superior Prime. An ab crunch, more ankle rocker, deeper knee bend, and more head articulation... another head with less of an elongated mouth plate & a more rounded season 1 head that defeats mp44’s (higher mouth plate & less squinty eyes). The sculpt of TE’s v1 head is trash. The season 2/movie head saved TE’s arse smh.

 

If they did this, it would only be fair to go up against a modded MP-44 and MS-01.

 

It would be cool if someone 3D printed some nice 4P plastic cel shaded windows for TE-01.

 

Don't the panels on the leg unfold to cover the front of the thigh? If so then a thigh swivel will never be possible. The best you could hope for is an omni-directional ball joint in the hip that would serve for forward, side to side and swivel movements in the thigh similar to MP-10. But then you'd lose all those nice leg ratchets.

 

I think mp44 is a huge disappointment. It’s too complicated for nothing. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) is key here. All that complicated mess for a messy alt mode smh. All that space between the cab & the trailer & u only get that much movement is mind blogging. Jus trash. If it’s going to be that complicated then at least achieve a better alt mode. Prime doesn’t even transform like that of 44 smh. TT busted a Perceptor move by overthinking it. I think they’re putting too much pressure on the designers or something. Jus don’t like the direction they’re going with TT’s Masterpiece line. Not to mention all the design flaws & QC issues for a $450 item... smh

Maybe a thigh cut above the hip skirts, where it’s covering it. This way I’ll get the ratchets and a swivel.

 

Is there anything with a 24-tooth ratchet in V2?
My V2 shoulder ratchet is the same as V1...16-tooth.

Really? In a TE nemesis review I swore it had the same ratchet amount as v3. I’ve seen a v3 review comparison with a v1. With arms facing down and moving it up 180 degrees there are 12 clicks oppose to 8 on the v1. The nemesis review had the same click amount as the v3. I don’t know if Nemesis is different from the v2. I thought Nemesis was the V2 mold.

Speaking of which, I feel that there is an article about TE-01B with slightly increased shoulder teeth...
I was worried about how his thighs would improve at that time, but I didn't care much about his shoulders. 

In any case, my V2 ratchet is definitely 16 shoulders / 20 thighs. 

 

Thigh ratchet ain't happening on this guy unless people don't mind losing transformation and alt mode. That's obvious even from just a quick glance at the figure's construction.

 

Swivel? I think they can accomplish it by remolding the piece that connects the ratchet and thighs together. Idk.
