    Either I’m blind or I did’t see a thread

    Mine just arrived B752F641-E57C-4687-B1F0-5F17CC5F225B.jpeg B47F1733-98EF-4DBB-B8B9-A63318B40D81.jpeg

    Ill post more pics later

First impression is that Zetar is tighter than my brunt, and that the peg on his head means fun times

Looks like he could use a flat washer or gasket (or just a circle of heavy paper) between the head and 'stove pipe' for a nice top hat look.

Apologies, but where is he being sold?

I actually want him pretty badly. :D

Also, it would be hella cool if his Drill bit could actually attach to the Weapon part.

    Still beautiful.

I still might get 2 just so I can paint one to look more like Screw Head.

I posted in appreciation, but here's a few pics.

    I've been tinkering trying to find a good drill tank mode. 00100dPORTRAIT_00100_BURST20190911182114100_COVER.jpg 00000IMG_00000_BURST20190911181930464_COVER.jpg 00000IMG_00000_BURST20190911181519975_COVER.jpg IMG_20190911_180941.jpg IMG_20190911_180110.jpg

I'd got for the the drill attached to the front, as per the official mode, and gun barrel/lower legs attached to the back of the vehicle which flattens it and makes it look much more like the original.

This figure so reminds me of NOSECONE from the Technobots. I want this figure since he's just so cool. So either way that figure will be in my collection soon. Going to order him and nightbird this weekend.

I think there might be a hidden intended mode, there are lower holes to attach his arms on the abdomen, this has the effect of raising the torso, making the drill more prominent, ....but I don't know what to do with the waist at that point.

The arms on mine are a little loose, but I like him. There are a couple questions I have about the legs, though:

    - Why only have a peg on the back of one leg? Odd choice that seems like it limits weaponizer options.
    - What are the tiny holes behind the knee connectors on the lower legs? Stand ports?
    - What's the slot on his left heel supposed to be for?

Thank you and brilliant! I just got my Zetar and immediately copied this.

This should've been the official Hasbro alt mode for Zetar.

Just got this guy, love his goofy head and his colors. And he seems sturdier than my copy of Brunt.

Also, anyone notice that his head is literally just Brunt’s head turned backwards with the top half cut off and replaced with a peg? I thought that was kinda creative.

The back of his head is the same detail as the front of Brunt's, but the face detail on Zetar is new and can't be found on Brunt. And I don't think anyone's managed to get top of Brunt's head off yet.

Prelude: Back in the early 80s Hasbro was licensing just about every transforming Japanese toy they could get their hands on for inclusion in their planned Transformers line. Quite a few of them never made it into the cartoon, such as the Powerdashers. 35 years later, though, the Powerdashers are suddenly back and appear as repaints of the Siege Weaponizers. Why? Nobody knows, but Zetar (aka the Drill Dasher) has a shiny new drill head, so who cares? Here we go!

Differences: Seeing as Zetar is a repaint of Brunt (with a shiny new drill head), we’ll just be talking differences here. See my Brunt review for more information on the mold itself. Zetar replaces Brunt’s mostly purple color scheme with yellow and black, same as the original Drill Dasher toy. And, of course, they needed to replicate the original’s awesome shiny drill head, too. So Brunt’s noggin’ had to go and was replaced by a squat little face with a glorious drill on top of it. The face is a very close match to that of the original G1 toy, too, so wonderful work here.

Of course the transformation scheme of the figure doesn’t lend itself to the drill ending up on front of the tank mode, so it needs to be removed and then plugged into the front. Given that the Brunt mold’s transformation requires some part-forming anyway, though, that doesn’t really make much of a difference. The drill makes for an extra weapon another figure can use when Zetar falls apart in Weaponizer mode, too.

So bottom line: an excellent reuse of a pretty brilliant figure. The color scheme might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but how can you not love that awe-inspiring drill head?

Remarks: The Powerdashers started out as mail-order exclusives in the original Transformers toy line and, as mentioned above, that was pretty much it for 35 years. They had some scant comic cameos across the years, but nothing else. It’s even debatable whether they are actual living Transformers or simply drones, what little official material there is about them never made that clear. So, yeah, the Powerdashers are pretty much a blank slate still in regards to characterization.

Being somewhat of a fan of obscure Transformers, I was very much excited for the Powerdashers appearing again. But while Aragon (the Cog repaint) and Cromar (the Sixgun repaint) don’t really appeal, I instantly fell in love with Zetar and his fantastic drill head. There is just so much nostalgia tied up in that design, harkening back to the late 70s and early 80s Anime robots and early Transformers. So if you have so much as a single nostalgic bone in your body, you really need this figure. Even if you already own Brunt.

I wasn't a huge fan of Brunt, but 'Zetar' is pretty charming, with the nifty yellow/black/silver color scheme and drill head with retro-looking robot face.

To me, he'll be "Screw Head" however, as from the look of him, in my head he sounds exactly like the Go-Bot as he appeared in the Robot Chicken sketch.

Anyone preorder with bbts and get a shipping notice even though the website still says mar 2020?

Mine is on the way as well as nightbird and refraktor. It just seems weird to be saying mar 2020 yet its shipped to me

Arrived today from In Demand Toys - I understand from a friend who's been affected that Hasbro UK shorted them on their stock and not all orders have been filled :-(

    Dear Hasbro,

Please may I have half a dozen of Zetar's Special Drill to use with other Transformers?

And another half dozen with a peg instead of a hole on the back?
