Nothing super special this time. I just painted the translucent claw hand, ink washed here and there all over him, and added a lot of small extra details to get Omega up to par with my other titan class figures which I did similar crap to.




Then after seeing a couple of people post theirs with an orange face and blue eyes, suddenly the yellow face and orange eyes on mine bothered me enough to do this too-



Really neat that they gave him a little Britney Spears mic inside the mask! Cool detail there, so I painted it too. You can't really see it with the head reassembled, but that's okay. I know it's there in my heart.

He'll be on this detolf cabinet for the foreseeable future.

Gorgeous! He's one of those characters that looks great with a gritty paint job.

 

Looks great! It brings out the detail without overpowering the figure.

Also, total yes on the opaque claw. I'm not a fan of the transparent plastic.

 

but it made a hell of a difference so sometimes a little goes a long way

Brave... Pppbbbtttt, I do this stuff for a living   , but I don't do casts so I don't have the ability to make a clear visor like you did. That's really neat!
I wasn't going to bother with the face but after seeing yours with the painted face and blue eyes and a couple of others like that on facebook, I did decide to go ahead and paint the face on mine too. Added that to the OP.

But, on point, you did a phenomenal job on Omega. It's really too bad that your version isn't the one that Hasbro is selling. With the "battle damage" that was introduced into the Siege line, I was hoping Omega was going to look like this right out of the box. Kudos.

 

lol britney spears mic. that hit me the wrong way. That head looks so much better. Hasbro finally gives us a G1 omega and skimps on doing the head correctly. sad.

claw looks better too.

and i typically dont do washes on my figures and most of the time i think it makes them look dirty but man that really brings out that detail and makes him so much better. i may be stealing your ideas.

Please take me to this magical Wal-mart that has newly released expensive huge transformers figures for 1/3rd of the normal price.

Tamiya orange, gray, gunmetal, and a white/tan/brown/ mix I made.

 

Nothing magical about it, a bunch of walmarts got in and instantly clearanced out jetfire for $40. It's how I got mine. lol

That's just weird... Surely they are selling well, and the figure has only been out for like just over a month, right? That's far from clearance time. My local stores couldn't keep them in stock for more than 3 days.
But still, around 25% off is a lot less than 75% off Omega Supreme. Apparently wacky crap happens, but I'd be surprised to see that happen any time soon.

 

I didn't even know he was on clearance. I was fully prepared to go the full $80 happily and got that $45 ring up as a total surprise.

So of course with the remainder, I got Seige Springer.  

Omega I think I'll take my chances on ebay. I got Metroplex, Fort Max and Trypticon all in ebay for around 70 each by looking and waiting patiently.
