What @Sam said, also if you're not comfortable or adept at mixing your own colours try taking a look at Games Workshop's Citadel Colour range, there's tones of different shades of just about every colour. You should be able to find something that blends. You will need to clear coat it afterwards either with varnish of floor polish though as those paints are not terribly durable.

The are about 140mm square, including 'teeth' the teeth are about 10mm and they overlap each other when connected so you'd only be counting the teeth on the outside of the bases. You would probably be able to get a 3x3 square of them on a Detolf shelf should you be so inclined.

I’ve created a thread in the radicons section that details the whole process of my Dinobot mod and repaint so if you’re interested in seeing the stages of work or all the pics of the finished article then check it out.

Quick question: Have any copies of MP-41 Dinobot been improved in Quality Control?

I was thinking of saving up my money for this figure, but I need to know where or how I can get one without any QC issues.

I believe the Hasbro Asia 'reissue' has changes to the shoulders to avoid the issues some had with the ratchets on the original. Outside if that I've no heard there's any other specific improvements.

Most domestic online stores (if they have stock) will be selling it. Im fairly sure the original release is harder to get hold of brand new these days. I have no idea how to tell then apart without inspecting the shoulders though.

I’d buy it. Especially if they made a BW Grimlock. Cause the comic had him more like a feathered raptor.

Any word if the Hasbro Asia reissue will come with a coin?
I wouldn't mind picking up a couple of those and would like to keep my eyes peeled on eBay once they start popping up.

Heyyyyyy! I know this post was a while ago, but you’re the only person I’ve seen on this forum with this exact problem. I recently bought a Dinobot and returned it because of this (the arm could barely stay up in the forward position and he couldn’t hold his shield) and the replacement I got has a loose (but not too loose) ratchet in the same area. It still works, but the ratchet feels VERY “soft”, like it could give at any moment, but it still holds his shield up perfectly. The other arm is perfectly stiff and clicks satisfyingly.
What I wanted to know is if your Dinobot’s arm is still in good condition or if the condition worsened. I just want to be able to handle him without fear of this $300+ figure breaking down the line when I can’t get a replacement...

I finally got around to converting Dinobot last week (after owning him at least nine months), and he's pretty damn good. A joint or two could be tighter considering how top-heavy he is and how heavy the tail-blade is (and usually it's held away from the torso).

Mine doesn't seem to have any problems with the shoulders....What was the issue, again?

The shoulders seize up when the...cog/gear/ratchet(?) comes into misalignment...IIRC...

I haven't had any trouble with the one I got / 1st edition.

    Heads up about MP Dinobot

I googled the topic, that thread came up first. It might explain it better than I.
