Butter face Ivy. And sigh, Mattel continues to baffle til the end. Alfred gets double elbows, RD gets 3 pair of hands but no weapons, and purchased needle-dickbats has open hands with zero bat weapons and no alternate fists.
I found Joker, tonight. Ivy is ugly and, Batman is garbage. Looked like they put the yellow paint in a water gun and shot it at the figure. I like Joker. Still not big on the head. Bye, Mattel.
My Joker had a frozen joint and the leg snapped off, definitely looking forward to better product from a different company.
I bought the recent multiverse Wonder woman figure and..She's just ok. The sculpt is decent accept I think they could did better with her face. Articulation wise she is a let down. Her skirt gets in the way of her leg articulation and her an crunch is almost not there. Plus if you make her crunch too much she becomes wobbly. Not a terrible figure but could have been better. The old dcsh figure has better articulation imo.
The DCUC version is so superior to the Multiverse. Only good thing about the MV to me is the lasso accessory.
A family member just picked up the Batman for me, can't wait to get it in hand. I had the original 1989 one as a kid, so it's pure nostalgia for me even if it's outdated/hideous. That Batman is my de facto Batman. Alfred will be my final DC figure for the time being. Damn, that Ivy is pretty ugly. Bye Mattel indeed.
2x bats, 1x Joker and Ivy. 2 weeks on the shelf and not a Batman sold. Naturally, I bought one. I wonder if theres an 89 custom cast head? I really hate that the ab crunch on him does not go backwards.
ok so i see that McFarlane toys will take over the dc multiverse toys in 2020... what is everyone's opinion on waiting for those figures and not collecting current and older mattel multiverse and classic figures versus starting to collect the older figures and augmenting with the McFarlane figures?
McFarlane will probably reveal its DC product line at next year's Toy Fair. If they look and the quality of the $20 Fortnite figures, the line will be a big hit. It's probably 100% guarantee that series 1 will have a Batman and Superman, probably a Wonder Woman and Aquaman, Lex Luthor and Joker makes the most sense on series 1.
Wow, just wow. Those have got to be some of the ugliest female faces I have ever seen on non-bootlegged figures.
Joker popped up on Target.com very briefly...I managed to get in an order but he was around less than GB-10 on the Pulse...didn't even get an email Joker was in stock either...
Found a set on Ebay for $70 shipped. Must be an employee just outright stealing the figures to scalp, cause there is no profit otherwise, but whatever, it's retail for me. Thoughts, Love 89 toy Batman. They kinda nailed him right down to the doppy face the TB figure had. Wish they had given him accurate hands (edit, looking at them closely they are pretty close to being accurate, actually). Also a pair of fists. Otherwise he's pretty great and I have my NECA 89 Batman for the movie version. Indifferent to Joker. Really nice have a near fully articulated Joker. Also recreating the Joker flower is a great nod to the 89 toy. Dunno about the face yet. Need to compare it to the toy. Really wish he came with the hate and a less gaudy cane. What the fuck with Ivy. I mean, seriously lol. This just should have been a Joker and Batman two pack cause Ivy is completely an afterthought. The face...dunno, get 4 beers in me and I'll probably start like it. The crossbow is beyond silly. Worst part is the awesome box art that just makes you sad thinking what could have been. Really wish we could have gotten a Bob the Goon instead. Overall, 6/10 for the entire wave.
You can get a bit of backwards movement, but it's kinda forced and doesn't go far enough to make a difference. The cloth Cape is so awesome though. Was sitting outside fiddling and the wind got a hold it. Was like just out of the movies or cartoon. And yeah, an additional Keaton head would have been cool. But one we got hits all those nostalgic buttons for the original toy.
