Yes sir. The new What’s in the Box is up. After the breakdown, I have a deeper appreciation of MP-44 and the ambitiousness of TT.

Have there been any rumblings from any third parties about diecast replacement parts for the knees by chance?

I’ve had both, and more recently sold my TE-01 to cover some of the cost of V3 Optimus. I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably grab V3 of TE-01 at some point again.

Yeah it was taken down a bit ago for mysterious reasons only Amazon knows. But people said that it should be back up again (hopefully).

People say that TE-01 is a bigger feat of engineering than MP-44, but all I here, this clean and transforms, meaning it best. From where I'm standing, TE-01 is indeed the better figure, in the sense that it does the bare minimum for an updated Masterpiece Optimus, pushing the envelope a bit. MS-01 is a good figure, but then again, it's really just an updated MP-10, and there's nothing wrong with that. The designers launched the envelope into space with MP-44; yes, it's a bit unfinished, if I were to call it something, but that shouldn't negate the fact that it is to date, the best Masterpiece figure. It does suffer a bit from the fact that it is covered head to toe in paint, has to fit minifigures, and has a voice box, but that doesn't ruin the figure, due to the fact that many small things can show the full potential of this figure.
Paint chipping - just have good quality bare plastic
Huge backpack - get rid of the voice box
Gaps in the back of the figure - oddly enough, most of these gaps can be covered with ease, without hindering articulation
If you were to bring up the fact that TE-01 doesn't need any major, you'd be factually correct, because that bumper butt cannot be fixed, it's the butt, you can't just fix the butt; and the lack of an ab crunch could only be fixed by heavily redesign the figure, and that point, you'd just have to be like most people, and not give a crap, since frankly, it doesn't the figure.
In the end, is it not better to have the option of modification, instead of having to get a new figure.

What's the point? Even though MP44 is a few votes ahead of TE, it's pretty much an even split. Not only that, ~60% of the voters favor a 3P option (TE or MS) over the official. As expected. It is the 3P board. But I suspect a good portion of folks voted with their wallets factored into the equation. I'll say it again. If TT were to release an MP-44 "value pack" with minimal accessories and no trailer in the lower $200 range, it would go a long way to negate a lot of the angst and rage from people in the community who feel they have been priced out.

op.jpg tired of reading about TE-01 in a MP-44 thread. again, why come in here and try to convince others of what you prefer? if the poll thread is mainly TE-01 supporters, guess who's going to be leading in that poll? is it that hard to understand? a poll is only relevant if everybody votes, not just the people who are trying to prove a point. i don't give a rat's ass who prefers what in a MP-44 thread. but just to play, here is what TE-01 reminds me of...titan heroes. blocky and no articulation compared to MP-44. end rant :D

I just bent them carefully several times without any emphasis on temperature. At one point they remain straight. Just need a bit of patience ;)
