Of note - it's still functional, holds poses with it stripped. Just don't hear the clickity clackity when posing. Not sure what everyone else's situation is.

I also have a slightly less clickity shoulder. Not sure if that was me or like that out the box.

Seems like that grey paint is easily scratched off. TFW's photo on the left. Peaugh's review on the right.

Ha, didn't even notice that until you highlighted it. But yeah, it's there.

Looks like it got dinged between shots 154 and 155 of my session, and then at some point during my sunset shots the full scratch happened. 220 doesn't have it, 224 does.

Megatron in front of ark, comparison, repair bay stand shots were done after sunset ones.

Possible it was from a face plant tumble during posing, which happens a lot here during these shoots.

    :(

Though I am really excited to be getting MP-44, I\'m still nervous about the knee.

I get why people are gushing over him. He is awesome. But calling him the best masterpiece Optimus...that's like saying Ferrari is the best performance car if its only competition is the Mustang and Camaro.

Looks Awesome, Wish I could afford it! Really hoping it gets a US release at a lower price. $250 would be totally worth it.

It *did* get a US release. Hasbro Pulse. Exactly the same as the Takara release but with a Hasbro sleeve over the TT box (at least on the carbots, don't know if HP has shipped out 44 yet).

Hot stuff, @Tony_Bacala ! You did my favorite MP of all time justice! MP-44 is my favorite figure of my favorite iteration of my favorite character. 44 feels like I have a living, breathing Sunbow produced Toei animated Peter Cullen voiced G1 Optimus with me on my desk and shelf (I have two copies). Best hobby related $650 I ever spent! No problems so far on mine ;)

If I could afford him I would buy him. Another great gallery, but for once I’d like to see a gallery where Prime isn’t doing his iconic pointing at nothing in the foreground.

I still love my MP01, no regrets of that being my only MP Prime/Convoy. Now, the first MP Megatron...I had regrets all over that damn thing within months of buying it (until I ended up selling it on eBay a couple years later).

Now, I'm nervous about the paint coming off upon transformation as well as the knee issues. I've had mine sitting in his unopened box for 2 weeks, but I'm afraid to touch it. Gonna buy some dish washing gloves before opening the box.

    Amazing photos, though.

He’s incredibly beautiful, but I’m having a hard time pulling the trigger. He’s so expensive but the quality issues are hard to justify. He shouldn’t be scratching or breaking so easily. Especially hard to justify with mp10. Yes he’s better than him in aesthetics and accessories but he’s pretty damn good and cost a fourth of the price when released and didn’t have the issues this seems to. I’ll probably wait until a second run hoping for improvements to the joints. Glad for those that got him, but man that knee issue is scary. It’s not like people are smashing him into megatron fighting like we did when we were kids.
