Oh man if I’m finally getting the entirety of the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in good quality...
There so many episodes I never got to see as a kid. Mostly because of what I had on VHS. Also, LILO AND STITCH! That was my show!
I'll definitely be getting this but I'll be disappointed if they don't end up getting Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (movie or tv series). I wore out the VHS of the movie when I was a kid lol.
I wonder if this means that with the canceled shows being also on the service perhaps the number of views could possibly bring them back to give them the closure they were robbed of? Such as Tron Uprising and Wander over Yonder? Unlikely I know but if Young Justice was able to be brought back through DC's Services then why not the same for Disney?
Like Gargoyles, that’s a fricking pipe dream. That show was among the darkest things Disney has produced. Good luck getting them to go for that now. Plus, they never saw its potential to begin with.
Yeah, it was sadly always treated like a red-headed stepchild by Disney. I think the only official continuation we'll ever get is the comics that the original creator did later.
Wolverine and the x-men and x-men evo is on that list! Also gods must be crazy and baby secret of the lost legend? Wow.
That is quite the list. Add the Rescuers, the Ghilbi films, and the Madeline cartoon (Along with it's movies.) And I'll sign up. Don't care about the Star Wars or MCU exclusive stuff, but this list of stuff, plus the stuff I really want to see, and I'd buy your streaming service.
They are talking about making a new season of the 90s X-Men cartoon also. And it's on the list! It's on there! Looks like Disney paid for the streaming rights! So this means we could get non Disney owned marvel stuff if Disney is getting streaming rights!
List looks great. Will rewatch Cat from Outer Space and several other classic live action ones. Needs Condorman on there, but I have the dvd so no biggie.
Studio Ghibli has some policy that forbids its movies to appear in streaming sites and I think Madeline is already on CBS All Access. Sorry.
Madeline appears on a lot of streaming services. Except Netflix for some reason. Madeline was made by DIC, which is owned by Disney. As for Ghibli, Disney can make it happen. Edit: And, fine, if Ghibli and Disney won't reach a deal to stream it, then rerelease them, damn it. I want to watch Cat Returns sometime.
Actually, Disney USED to own DiC, but then DiC went to Cookie Jar, and then to Media DHX, which just became WildBrain. (Good luck to anyone who wants to reboot Madeline...) As for Ghibli, I’m not sure. It’d probably take a huge amount of haggling. Then again, Disney just haggled with Sony to keep Spider-Man for at least two more movies, so I guess anything could happen...
Well, WildBrain is currently being run by the former head of Marvel. I'm assuming Disney could reach a deal there. Disney seems to be very good at getting their former heads of things to cooperator with them. Especially when Disney + becomes popular. Which I suspect it will. I can see lots of smaller companies, like WildBrain coming to Disney to put their stuff on their streaming service. Especially since WildBrain owns a lot of former Disney shows. Which, I'm sure Disney would love to jiggle the nostalgic keys in our faces with. I can see a deal being made there, easily. I also wouldn't worry too much about Madeline being also on other streaming services like CBS, since it's also on WildBrain's You Tube channel. Doesn't sound like anybody got exclusive rights to it. More like they spread it around to everybody.
Well the good news is, guess I just need to wait for a ripper to grab the Hercules animated show and Gargoyles for me in HD from here. Or at least I assume they are airing these in 1080p. Bad news is, still no Aladdin tv series or Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Thing is, I'd buy these in a heartbeat on BR but would not subscribe just to have them online. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to physically own what I pay for, not have it dangled in front of me like a carrot.
