Better get the Toy version. I've now sold my Toon Crackup and Deathwish, so I am looking forward to the toy version of those two.

 

just buy which ones you like, you don't have to buy the entire set...if you can keep the inner voices to a dull roar saying "you need them all or it won't look right".

So for people who own G2 Overheat, are the shoulders better on that release or are they the same?

Hell you could mix up all three versions.

 

The tolerances were too tight in my opinion. We make fun of the Fanstoys squeak, but this figure is grinding at all joints. Incredibly stiff and parts strain to move. The pin on the leg snapped that connects to the thigh, just too much pressure on a poor connection. Hopefully XTB service is good like I hear. That said, all this guys joints sound like I'm strangling a cat, even if I get the leg fixed I'm worried something else will follow soon behind it. He'll be a put it on the shelf and forget about him figure. Sad, because he seems quite nice. The character and alt mode came out well - just poor QC.

 

I’m not even in on the set. Just got it on a whim to get the various Lambot moulds without having the same colours for both this and FT version of Breakdown.

 

Next time just loosen the screw on the back of the lower waist. It will both loosen the legs so there is less chance of snapping them off at the pegs, and it will also allow the separation gimmick to function smoother.  

 

Part of it comes down to XTB's materials can't hold up to tight joints where FT's usually can.

I've only transformed my G2 overheat from car to bot and back to car once. So it may not be enough to tell, but I have zero cracks. The black plastic seems like it's a little better quality on the shoulders.

 

Spoiler arrived today it's a brilliant figure but still think it's a bit big to fit in with the other MP carbots crack-up is definitely still worth having.

 

Spoiler looks nice, better than Dx9 to me, but the size simply don't work with my display.

Because not always bigger means better  

 

One thing that amuses me about the XTB and FT Breakdowns is to have accurate badge placement, you're going to end up having to cut a symbol in half. Either on Crackup's chest, or Spoiler's hood.

 

Looks bigger in car mode at that angle too.
