Yeah- the more opaque but not solid windows actually look really good. Glad I ordered one of these when ShowZ had them for $99.99 shipped (on its way now). Just sold my first release TE on Facebook group.

I'd consider swapping out my V1 as the number of minute changes to me is worth it:

• Grey V1 mask
• Smooth shoulder for faction logo
• more ratchet teeth
• Blue colour knees.

Yes. The front windshields are slightly darker more lighter blue now, which I personally like over the previous. Just wish they did something about those side windows to match but I wasn't planning to use him for truck mode anyway.

But yeah. I've upgraded to V2, after giving up V1, and now did all that again for V3. If I didn't like the figure that much, I probably would've stopped at V2.

Oh yeah forgot about the side windows. The clearer side windows would really bug me. Not sure what to do now. Wait for a v4?

I swapped mine out. Beauty of it is I actually sold my original V1 with extra head for the same as I'm paying for the V3 version. So it was an even swap for me...

 

Gotta save some improvements for the v4...

 

I dont think we will ever see a higher thigh swivel since the orientation of the thighs is important for transformation on TE. It would be nice, but I dont see it happening. Possibly a ab crunch, but since there is that extendo bar in his torso I dont know how they would incorporate it.

 

Yeah. An actual thigh rotation at the top would require a completely new transformation. Not happening as much as I'd have liked it to.

 

Yeah, different versions are an inside joke about TE-01. The swivel is where it is to acommodate for the rotating thigh pieces needed for the transformation. Separating the metal connector in the waist would compromise the figure structural integrity given the weight of the diecast in the torso. It'd be a very breakable joint.

 

If you're currently looking for a copy of MP-44 sold directly by Amazon Japan (and not by 3P Amazon Japan sellers sold at a markup) you may have to wait a while. Amazon JP has recently removed their direct MP-44 listing. It has been said that this is common practice with Amazon in that when one of their items has too many customer returns they will remove that item from their site while they investigate the reason for the returns.

Just got this guy in from TF-Direct. Late to the party because it took a long time to decide which new Optimus to go with, but TE-01 came out on top. MP-10 will finally be retired to permanent alt mode duty.
