Ok, got a little brave and decided to disassemble Omega Supreme's head despite the glue. As with any glued pieces, if you're very careful, you can separate them without external damage signs but you'll likely break small internal pegs. For some reason, Hasbro / Takara sees the need to use 3 different ways to put some pieces together: tabs, screws, and glue. The glue is of course dabbed on the small internal pegs.

Remove the two screws on the right side of the head. Then you need to make a lever to go into the cannon groove on the back of the head. I used two wall mount brackets that come with various Ikea stuff. Wrapped the short ends with multiple layers of vinyl / electrical tape to avoid scuffing plastic. Placed both short ends into the groove. Instead of doing a pulling motion to the opposite sides (really, don't do that or you'll definitely cause some damage), grabbed the long ends like handles and turned them both into me. The turning motion will generate enough force to separate the head pieces in a more gentle fashion. You need to be very, very careful around the chin as there's a solid red painted piece that's glued down there. For me, I broke 3 of the 4 small internal pegs.

At least for me, I plan on making resin copies of some of the head pieces, and then mod those (more like casting in different colors and then some painting). For others, you could paint the head to look like G1 cartoon style. The face is actually white plastic with yellow paint.

I won't swear to it but I think my dad has the exact same mixer. Or at least one very similar to it.

 

One of the biggest reasons I can't wait to get Omega is to break out my two old Energon molds of him as two Gaurdian Sentinels EXACTLY like you have pictured here....

If you ask me Hasbro can just remove the 2 big black guns and use the plastic to fill those holes up.
1. He doesn't have those guns in the cartoon.
2. I don't use those guns. They're just somewhere in the corner.
And frankly, i think the majority of us don't care about those guns.
Just like the upcoming Astrotrain. Who cares about those guns. He only need one. Just fill up his open back of his shuttle mode. And i'm happy to pay 60 for it.
