Mine's F2619 as well, and I have had no knees-issues.

However, I've checked the ratchet-housing on mine after watching TMan's knee-fix video today, and verified that they are a weak plastic housing indeed.

I decided to finally do the glue-fix afterwards on mine to avoid the impending fatality if I didn't, and I highly encourage all of you to do the same.

Regardless if your copy has no knees-issues right now or whatever "run" mfg-code, it really is only a matter of time or even a few bending tries before those damn weak/thin slots gives way or destroyed outright by the thicker/stronger ratchet-piece.

It simply is bad plastic and/or TT (or their factory) cheaping out on that particular piece. The design was pretty ingenious and innovative, but the actual implementation using the current weak plastics was really a dumb stupid move by TT and/or their factory. As TMan stated in his video, that piece and/or the whole knee-joint should have been strong diecast metal instead of plastic.

Please follow Brutiking's procedure in the knee-fix thread, and/or watch TMan's video at
    .

Follow Jarrod's process if you want to add pins.

Oh, and take your time and be careful and mindful to not to lose any of the pieces. Especially the springs.

After seeing several reviews of this figure,.... I so need to save up alittle to get it first of 20 if not possible late December this year. I am so totally seeing an MP-44 Optimus Prime that i want to add to my small Masterpiece collection.

Received mine Friday and the paint was flawless on my copy. Much more beautiful in hand than in the photos. I will say this, it is far more superior than the MP-10 and Third Party Primes (regardless of what some reviewers say). MP-44 does not feel like a toy at all unlike the MP-10 (which strongly does). It feels like this piece was a love letter from Takara to the TRUE adult collectors from this fan base. I would say the same for MP-36.

Question for you guys though, are the silver "rib" pieces below the chest suppose to be on the loose side? I'm worried

I think I may be done with this line for a while till MP Mirage is released. I will of course stick to the beast wars line and pray we get Rhinox next year.

After receiving MP-44 here is how I rank MY 5 top collectibles for 2019

    1. Metal Build EVA unit 01
    2. DX Chogokin VF-1J
    3. MP-44 Optimus Prime
    4. MP-43 Megatron
    5. Fixed Figuration Char's Zaku

GX-88 Dairugger will likely push Eva down to 2. I really hope this happens.

All I can say BUY MP-44 because it is and will be the best prime we will have for many years to come.

My silver rib pieces are on the loose side as well. They will slide out a bit if the figure is jostled a bit while posing, but they stay put when the figure is still and in pose. Doesn’t bother me as long as they stay where they are supposed to during photos.

Will you be able to make a spreadsheet that compiles the MP-44s with and without knee issues?

I wanted to give an update on my MP-44's sound box issue. I changed from the Energizer 357 (LR44)'s, and went with Walmart's brand of LR44. I can confirm that I am not having voice box issues anymore.

Having it in hand is uber nostalgic. I felt bad spending money on it at first, but now it feels like I did the right thing. No regrets, but again, it feels like a $250 collectible and not $350-450.

My heart feels warm every time I see my MP-44 chilling on my desk. Such a beautiful piece.

Yes! I've added the fields already to record which copies have which issues. I can then do pivot table analysis to see if there is any correlation between date code and breakage, etc.

Overall, I do feel that MP-10 has the superior truck mode. I think much of that has to do with the extra detailing, but even the sculpt itself translates to a better vehicle.

I'm sure it'll be back in the + repaint. Might even be chrome!

If mp36+ is anything to go by then I'm sure mp44+ will be covered in the stuff too.

Wonder if a U.S. release for MP-44 is even in the pipeline.

Hard to say. What was the last US MP release? I' imagine since the close of TRU and Hasbro opening their own store, plus the brand unification thing, it may not happen. I'm not soeaking from a distribution standpoint, but from an actual North American release.

I think the last North American G1 MP release was either Bumblebee or Bluestreak. I could be wrong, though.
