Update on my TE order from abctoyshop123. The tracking information is landed in destination country. We shall see what happens next.

My tracking information is showing movement within the USPS. I live on the East Coast, so I don't imagine that it will take that much longer.
I'm pretty confident that whatever is packaged is not the TE-01. Abctoyshop123 has not responded to either of my messages on eBay and has not responded to the PayPal case.

 

My last order from Baba did the same thing, it said it had landed in county and the tracking just stopped, then 5 days later it randomly showed up at my house. As soon As it had been delivered I checked the tracking history again and it was complete and backdated.

Probably won’t make you any less anxious about your deliveries, but tracking parcels seems not to be an exact science.

 

The company I work for does a lot of shipping. We use UPS Mail Innovations a lot. One of the things with them is that if the package misses its first scan the tracking will never update again, even if it is scanned during the rest of its movement. I don't know if this is the case for other shippers, but knowing that puts me in a frustrating place when I don't see any movement, like on the order I mentioned earlier. I never know if it was never shipped or if it just missed a scan and isn't updating.

 

Opened a dispute thru PayPal against abctoys123 to get an answer or money back.

 

Can related and i work for a postalservice. From what can go wrong you never trust tracking again.

 

A little frustrating. PayPal would not open a case for me yet. The want me to give it until Friday before further action is taken. I'm gonna email him here just to show I did, and we'll see where it goes. It be should be noted the lady I talked with had a hard time with English and it felt like she didn't know what to do. I'm just bothered right now.

 

I emailed him on Saturday night asking about whether or not the order shipped. I sent it through ebay's contact the seller about this item thing. Given what I have heard here I am not enthusiastic about the possibility of hearing back. My package ostensibly shipped out on September 5. It has an estimated arrival of September 20 to October 1. Ebay will not do anything until October 2 because until October 2 it is not late and can still possibly arrive. I haven't tried Paypal yet.

 

PSA fellow Canadians...

First off, there was a change over the summer regarding foreign exchange. Most China TF sellers use USD for pricing. It used to be that if you ever had a rogue seller or a cancelled order, if you used PayPal as your payment processor, your refund would be in the exact amount in Canadian of your original purchase. This is no longer the case. You will be charged the live exchange rate on the day of the refund. The whammy is that you get dinged PayPal's exchange fee as well. I had an order that was $150USD recently cancelled by a seller. The difference between my initial purchase and the amount refunded was $8CAD! Thankfully while I was calling to inquire about what exactly PP's policy is now, the customer service rep just credited me the difference. No one could really explain the new policy to me and we just surmised that I was getting double billed on the foreign exchange fee. FUN! This takes away a major advantage of PP when it comes to purchase protection! You'll have to be super careful about which sellers you use, because it's not exactly "free" anymore if you encounter a rogue one.

Secondly, received an email regarding T&C changes to eBay.ca today. Guess what was listed under key updates? The changes relate to eBay's on-going rights and responsibilities to marketplace tax collection. Looks like we're gonna get charged sales taxes up north as well.

This may be the end of my eBay TF purchasing... most of the releases I get directly from Baba's site or Show.Z anyways, with A3U filling some gaps. Unless there's some old release that a seller has stock for, I'm finding I'm buying stuff less and less off of eBay.

 

Damn, that’s rough, I was trying to avoid eBay after all this scamming lately anyway but it’s good as a last resort to catch older stuff. I was wondering if they were gonna tax Canadian eBay sales, but I thought it was just certain states.

 

Just want to note that jiangyaoming2018_0 on eBay and xchzhh9999 on eBay both have stuff for some really good prices

Could be nothing to worry about but could also be a bad sign.

The way a UPS supervisor explained it to me is that you have 2 types of scans, the direct "physical" scans, and the "logic" scans. The logic scans are a large majority of what you see from a customer tracking standpoint, they aren't real scans or indicative of where the item actually is, or has been, but where the carrier estimates the item to have traveled in that time frame. For the most part, the only physical scans tend to be when your package is first received for shipment, and when it's delivered. Every other scan is just a predictive guess based on times and routing.

 

After a month of this I was done CALLED Ebay and had them address this. chlifg1008_8.

 

That makes sense. If it misses that first physical scan it can't predict when the package may be anywhere because it doesn't think it has done anything beyond generate the label, and thinks nothing has shipped. What I know for sure is that from time to time we will have customers who want to know where their stuff is because the tracking has never updated at all. More often than not the package still arrives in the estimated time frame without the tracking ever updating. When we've brought that up to UPSMI they have told us that it happens because the package missed its initial scan, and when that happens it will never update.

 

Also why is abctoyshop123 still on the list of good sellers...status needs to updated to at least questionable at this point.
