@BrutiKing , any chance of an overview of the colour matches you've got for all the various colours? I can see people still asking in the main thread and thought of a specific thread just to list the matches that can then be linked to without any further thought needed. Thanks

Debating about what I should do for this leg panel that looks like there was some incorrect mixing or drying of the gloss: Clear-coat, or sand and repaint. Other than this and a small flake in the gray I got pretty lucky. Knees work like a champ.

 

Thanks for these fixes guys. Especially the paint mixes. Never would have figured out the correct ratios without all the input here.

 

Hitting with a gloss coat should work out fine. Make sure to leave enough time to dry. I didn't and I'm having one hell of a time now repainting it.

 

Just put my prime in bot mode ready to try and sort his damaged left knee.

The problem with mine seems to be that the top knee joint is screwed in that tight, that the little blue tab just will not move at all, no matter how much force is applied. So when I thought I was moving the top joint first, it was that tight that I was unaware that it was only the bottom joint I was moving. I know it sounds stupid, but unfortunately for me it happened.

I just hope that when I get some glue and attempt to carry out repairs that it all turns out ok..

I finally got to your knee fix last night, I wasn't very confidant and, to be honest, was shitting bricks! But your walkthrough was great, both knees fixed up in no time I want to say a big thank you, you are a legend for the way you've been helping everyone out

Doesn't matter. Stupid decision. If not for the folks who contributed fixes in this thread, more people would avoid buying it.

I've seen links on Japanese sites linking back to this very thread. Retailers linking back to it. People who had good copies out of box now seeing their housings worn and referring to this thread.

Anyways if you want to defend Takara or whatever, take it to the main thread as it's taking away from the primary point of this thread which is to fix the toy.

Have you tried swapping batteries? Another member had issues with their voice box and new batteries ended up helping.

I did. And it doesn't make a difference.

Also, i've only ever gotten English samples out of it once.. is there a knack to that i am missing?

Edit: toggling the on / off switch doesn't change anything.

 

It kind of astonishes me that there is a 15 page fixes thread for a 450$ figure

 

A good portion of these posts are people commenting that they can't believe a $450 figure needs to be fixed.

He crushed it helping me swap out my backpack from the original Prime that I’m returning for scuffs and the knee issue on my new one that is perfect (minus a backpack not flush). The damn thing is finally perfect.
