Sooooo thinking about taking the dive on this. As for the ratchets some have had problems with, is it an issue some silicone oil would fix or are the materials not hard enough to tolerate the pressure?

The ratchet problems I encountered are in his hips and knees and are demonstrated in Bobby Skullface’s video review. While softer ratchet joints are welcome in some situations, it would’ve been better if they were tighter with a bot mode this top heavy. Silicone oil won’t help here, since more tightness is what would improve it.

Posing him in action crouches can still be done, but you need to carefully distribute his weight using his ankle joints, hip and torso articulation.

Sounds like a job for a coat of Pledge to tighten the joints.. I'm tempted to get this figure now, hopeful of a "Victory" Head upgrade eventually.

I love it. It's just a double elbow from perfection.

aight guys, should i sell my mp and buy this? since we've got no word on a mp victory leo.

i used this superglue to fix some finer things on a few broken figures, like those little tabs on the wheels of figures like the cw, seige, and rid15 figures. you could just try a tiny drop of it, but id clear up the previous glue if you can, and then also give it a soft sanding [not wetsand], and DONT wipe the sanding away before you glue it. i broke a tiny part of my SMP astro megazord, and this glue has held it in place even though that bar is a swivel.

Does MP Star Saber have suspicious or useless tabs that could hint at a Victory Leo?
If so, and if Victory Leo is a big factor for you, perhaps you should at least wait until Planet X released prototype images.

It has, in fact KFC made a Victory Leo compatible with MP Star Saber. An official isn't likely to come anytime soon, though.

im not a fan of simba as the qc was eeeeh. i dont mind trying to tighten the ratchets though on kadmos as i usually use build up a little more push on the tooth with a rubberband [i did that for mp star saber's elbow]

Oh, thanks for the idea, but I was able to use this: https://www.lazerbondrefills.com/ (pardon the refills part of it, but same stuff) and it's rock solid.

I got mine this week and I think it's fantastic, it's absolutely beautiful.

My only actual concern is his knee ratchets, specifically the upper part of the dual hinge inside the thigh.

I took them apart to apply some future to see if I can tighten them up, but I doubt that will last long due to the fact that it's metal teeth on the thigh side and plastic teeth on the joint. I'm not sure how much movement it'll be able to handle before the metal teeth grind the plastic ones down to nothing.

    I just got mine. Fantastic!

Does the sword store anywhere in jet mode?

Not officially but I wedge the sword on the two back panels in jet mode. Best place to put that sword in the jet mode.

    Mine just arrived...

First impression are that he is nice., really nice!

I love the hip ratchets... Outward ratchets that work and aren't too far apart! Wooooo!

Plenty of diecast, paint and posability. Face looks fine in hand.

    Really impressed!

    Anyone know what's next?

I feel Planet X may not be a long term player in the IDW game.

I'd assume their Leo is next to combine with Saber. But that is just a guess as i think that is the only other IDW figure they have teased.
