I hate to say this but I've STILL NOT seen this movie yet. I REALLY need to rent it on PSN PlayStation. I think I'll have to see what's going on this weekend.

I mean it’s not unfair. Heck I still have good friends who are fans that haven’t seen it yet. But you should totally get around to watching it.

I'm proud to say I still haven't seen it. Or Avengers Endgame.

Honestly this was better than Endgame, to me.

I had more fun watching BB, honestly. I don't know if that's just because I was more starved for a good TF movie than a good Marvel movie, or if I genuinely found it a more pleasing experience.

It was just a nice little movie that wanted to have fun and be sweet. Not a big capeshit epic of CGI nonsense so huge in scale it makes your head hurt.

Maybe they have a sense of humour and wanted to make the voters laugh?

Agreed. Endgame was a bit better than Infinity War, but it was still literally just a silly light show held back by Disney’s “MUH KIDDIES” mandates.

Even if Bumblebee is considered the lead, can't there be more than one lead? Most films have a male and female lead...

I told my friend that Ready Player One is easily the best movie on that list. He said "I bet Jurassic World will get it".

Once again, Ready Player One is easily the best movie on that list! NAILED IT! :)

Don’t get me wrong I loved Bumblebee and the Bay films and am very happy about this......buts it’s still weird seeing the words “Transformers” and “Nominated” without Razzies following it.

Except Bumblebee isn't an actor, he's a cgi character. Hailee Steinfeld is objectively the lead actress.

That's what I was thinking, too. They both have about the same amount of screentime.

    • Alita: Battle Angel (20th Century Fox)
    • Bumblebee (Paramount)
    • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (Universal Pictures)
    • Ready Player One (Warner Bros. Pictures)
    • Solo: A Star Wars Story (Lucasfilm Ltd. / Walt Disney Studios)
    • Sorry to Bother You (Mirror Releasing – Annapurna Pictures)
    • Upgrade (BH Tilt)

Battle Angel Alita...what could have been if Robert Rodriguez solo'ed that movie on his own without Cameron's script. I liked it all the same but Cameron's plotilogue sticks out like a sore thumb.

Sorry to bother you, in terms of saying something within the framework of sci-fi and not being pure spectacle, would've been my pick for winner.

Ready Player One...concept was great. Take out the literal 800 references and nods and the remainder is a shell of a movie (tho bonus points since it's the rare movie that improves on the source material...a lot).

I still haven't seen Solo all the way through and Fallen Kingdom just bugs me that two humans decided to play god and release the dinosaurs on the rest of mankind. So the upcomi g bodycount is all on Starlord and Gwen Stacy's head. :D

Steinfeld is nominated as Supporting because the studio (and likely her agent) thought she'd have a better chance at winning there rather than competing against the heavy hitters in Best Actress. It has nothing to do with anyone considering Bumblebee the lead character.

The best movie on the nominee list is by far Sorry to Bother You, but it won't win.

Which is a shame as it's easily the most boundary pushing of the lot.

Endgame just feels incomplete and not as impressive. The final act is wild and ugly. Bumblebee is simple and effective.

JP fallen kingdom was awesome, but I know plenty didn’t care for it. I am happy seeing large CGI dinosaur fights. Solo was fine. I had no expectations nor was I all too hyped since I’d been seeing year;y Star Wars films. I haven’t finished Alitalia Battle Angel. As it is I’m not really feeling it. Ready Player One was a crap book so I can’t imagine the movie being all that good. Bumblebee’s only real Competition is Upgrade. I haven’t seen the other movie but I’ve seen Upgradeand it was a real mind blowing film. Bumblebee is probably my Favorite film, but I can easily see it losing to Upgrade. Upgrade was basically Venom but better.
