20190817_113144.jpg 20190817_113109.jpg Repainted a ss dropkick ( crowning glory of the deluxe line) as a 70's/80's Hot Rod, had the idea as soon as i first saw car mode Dropkick. 20190817_221049.jpg 20190817_221451.jpg The energon igniter toy was some small inspiration too, bought it to use as a head transplant but it's over simplyfied to the point where it wouldn't work. 20190817_221755.jpg perhaps a face transplant instead of an actual head swap...

Had him out in actual daylight for the first time today, helped to spot some imperfections in the paint that need touching up, but I'm really happy with him. He could do with a touch more orange on his legs and torso, but ill do that later.

Not a bad repaint, I like it. I actually had an idea to repaint dropkick in big daddy or cybertron downshift. Maybe one of each

Big Daddy was already a movieverse toy so... This definitely works as a repaint!

I got a Dropkick specifically to turn it into a Generations Cybertron Downshift. Somehow (still trying to figure out the how).

Love the colors, such a great combo. It just looks so good on that mold.

Can I ask: what did you use on the rims? Doesn't look like brushed on silver paint. It's very shiny!

Not keen on the bumblebee version of the mold so i passed on pre ordering. I did consider it just for the head and gun, maybe if he turns up cheap further down the road.
One of those chrome marker pens, moltow i think the brand is. Works okay, did the exhausts and engine too. Takes a long time to dry out properly though.

    No.....
Next movie they need to continue making the characters recognizeable like the CG portions of the bumblebee movie. The whole "random pile of shit with unrecognizeable face" with a classic name slapped on was bullshit from the start. The only character in the bay films that you could point at and without question say "that's this character" was optimus. The rest were garbled trash heaps using known character names.

Michael bay rant aside, this is a nicely done custom. Lokks tons better than whatever the hell hasbro called hotrod.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought Dropkick would be a good Hot Rod. But I'll probably switch out the car parts with lambo parts... IF THEY EVER HIT MY AREA

I didn't relieze that one was so small...i was going to suggest taking the tlk head off of the deluxe and using that but was not expecting the size difference. Really cool though, personally i love the flames on the hood of the igniter one and probably would've added that but really well done
