Well at least my local Meijer is still carrying BotBots. Mostly still Series 2 is what they have. The bit of Series 3 they did have was just this trifle..........

WOO!!! Got the shipments in for the Wave 3 Multipack figs I wanted! So happy!! I don't remember all the names, but it was Avocando, Bunches, Trisourtops, Cuddle Wuddles, Swoonberry, Minnicakes the candy corn, the icecream pony, and the venus flytrap repaint. Now the question is, should Swoonberry join the plantgang, or should he be a sweets buddy? choices, choices!!

Finally have some Series 3 figures to show off. This thread needs a good shot of pics, so I present the Arcade Renegades!!!

Excellent set to start off this new Series!!! These little bots are very cool, even if half of them are repaints, they still have a lot of character to them.


The Snack Bots are adorable. My favorites here are....

Sweet Cheat! One of my favorite molds of this line. Love her colors!

Tutu Puffz!

And Knotzel! One of the simpler ones, but look at that face. Their expressions are a huge selling point.
Next up, the Everyday-Random-Items-That-You-Would-Find-In-An-Arcade Bots.


Still really cool, but my least favorite subgroup of this set. I like how Pixel Fin has closer sharky colors than Ollie Bite and Papa Click is a nice 80s throwback with his old school Polaroid color scheme. My favorite though is Wrist Banned!

Love the blue on this guy. I get a vague Soundwave vibe from him.
But what the hell is this thing?!?

Greed Feed is the most terrifying BotBot I’ve ever seen. It seems almost counterintuitive to the whole line to make a BotBot this freaky looking. Not that it really scares me, just ugly and un-fun. This one will stay in alt mode most of the time.
And my absolute favorites of this set, the Game Bots!


All original designs and brilliant colors, these bots are the main reason I wanted this set.

Driver Ted! Love his motorcycle legs!

Clawsome! She aims to please and she does the job!

Bankshot! Beautiful design and colors, she ties with the next one as my favorites of the set, period.

Old Cool is just that, so damn cool! Love the colors and details on him. Him and Bankshot also have the best transformations of the new molds.

Definitely need more Series 3. The BotBots continue to be a fun line with a lot of character to it.

 

I got to looking at my Cyberverse Sharkticon and realized we need a Dental themed set.

 

yeez I can see it now, Drillz, Cav-i-Tee, Phil Ing, T.Paster, Da Floz

 

Got to have a Tooth Brush. I can see one called tooth brush called Sugar-Brush! Got to brush away all the sugary candy off those teeth.

Just got spiny Sensei in a pack and love them! However their sword came partially melted? It's just the tip so I figure I can clip it back to a point but I was wondering if this was a thing with Spiny Sensei in particular or what

I am insanely jealous! This was my most wanted set and Walmart decided to be jerks and stop stocking them.

Yeah it's mostly just like wtf happened? I'm glad it's just the accessory tho and not any of their body

 

it's the extra lethal blade that digs into the flesh of enemy botbots as he withdraws it from their carcasses...

I got the con crew in yesterday...really nice presentation, though excessive as always with convention exclusives...I was thinking maybe a foldable-pop-up backdrop display might have been more interesting than the huge window with a lot of excess space...sort of a posing stand version of the character background seen in the top of instructions that is devoid of the characters...

anyway, the only new mold is the marker, which is kinda hard to see with the costuming, but what a really neat bit of softgoods they dressed him up in...I would love to see the actual marker tip underneath his hood but am fearful any attempt will permanently damage the mask so its staying put...

the cosplay optimus coffee-cup is ingenious use of the paper cup wrapper turned inside out to become the mask but I think it is too fragile to hold up to multiple handlings...they may have been better off just painting the Optimus mask onto the cup...

the final cosplayer is the handheld game and the cape fortunately doesn't get in the way of transformation...this was one of my more favorite new molds from series 3 and maybe the superhero cosplay isn't pronounced enough...

I really thought Vigiltente should have been cosplaying as Megatron with that head...the backpack mold is still a winner (and maybe should have been cosplaying optimus with that head)...the snack bag isn't as well deco'd as I'd like...at least the soda can energy drink looks a bit cooler...I think if they could add one more color to the deco of a lot of them it would improve the appearance by tenfold but I'm sure the accounting dept is trying to limit the number of paint ops...

the rest of the gang are decent enough...nothing really special going on with the fish taco, the camera or the book...that darned book...if they're going to keep using that mold they have to come up with a better way to deco the face...I still see the original vaguely bookwormy asian-looking guy from the first use of it...

 

Looks like someone yanked it out of the mold before it had time to cool fully...........actually come to think about it is this the first qc issue that wasn't a design flaw in some way?

 

My Walmart stopped carrying them too. My target still carries them but they don’t have a spot for this set. Only Meijer had them, but they were in a different aisle than the other Transformers. Do you have a Meijer near you?
