The store I go to had the shelf label for it around the first drop. I know it came in stock since BS showed stock but it disappeared right away and I never actually saw it. After that initial batch, the shelf label was gone so it makes me wonder if that particular store will get any more. I actually saw the tapes there during the first drop but they've been gone since then. The shelf label for those is still there, though.

 

At my Walmart i saw something I've never seen. The tag on the shelf for G1 Soundwave has a sticker on it that said Temporarily Out Of Stock.
Never saw that at Walmart, but I guess they want us to know they are getting more.
Bottom line - don't feed the scalpers. Wait.

 

To be honest I am happy Soundwave is doing well. At least it shows these have staying power.

 

Soundwave has been selling pretty well locally but it seems to be slowing down a bit with every restock. The cassettes they are still working on their first case they got of them. They are not moving near as quick as Soundwave himself.

 

Saw about five at my Northwest Indiana Walmart. Two of them were in the wrong spot, which was market for just under $20. Knew that couldn't be right.

 

I don’t know, if you raise a big stink you could probably get Soundwave for that price.

 

If anyone is looking for this, I have an extra MISB Soundwave reissue that I am not going to keep. Instead of just returning it, I thought I would offer it up here on the board first to see if I could help someone out. Just regular retail price, plus lIke $8 for shipping probably.

It looks like there's an international box variation out now for Soundwave. I just ordered one off eBay, we'll see what shows up.

As if the dual language wasn't already bad enough.

 

I kind of like the international variant, but I also would have liked to have seen an English-only version in the US.

Where abouts in Northwest Indiana you from? I'm from NW Indiana myself originally,.. so i do know the citys there. Grew up in Cedar Lake,Indiana if you know where that's at.

 

Update on this finding - he reused other pics - The pics on his ebay posting have been updated to reflect the walmart version bilingual.

 

Are people still finding the cassettes in store and/or seeing then get restocked?

My area got exactly ONE initial shipment months ago to about a dozen Walmarts, then nothing. Online inventory checks also show zero stock, so it's not a matter of just not seeing them or anything. No one in my area seems to be paying attention to the stock, or lack thereof it, so I'm just trying to see if this is a widespread issue elsewhere.

 

Some out of the way Walmart’s have some of the 2 tape sets. I can keep my eyes out for you.

 

Thanks for the offer, but that's okay. More than anything I'm just trying to find out if anyone - Canada or US - has ever seen REstock of the tapes after the first rounds sold out. Seems like virtually everywhere only got 1-2 cases of each pack, and when they were gone, they never got replenished. Just seems odd considering how much stock of Soundwave is out there.

 

I found some soundwaves around my area (MS) and some of the wal-marts still have the both of the tape two packs. Picked up soundwave yesterday.

I haven't seen a restock at one of the Wallys, and the other one I don't think actually received a shipment of the tapes or Soundwave, because they did not receive the redesigned display. I will check this weekend.
