Thank you for the input. I thought about the waiting, but at this point, it would just be Ratchet I would be waiting on. So not necessarily too bad. Honestly looking back, the only SS releases I’ve actually gotten super excited about in past are the constructicons.

I'm not sure. I collect MPM's but I also have a mainstream collection of movieverse characters that's pretty good. With masterpiece collecting, you're not going to finish and have a full set of characters... Even with third-party help. If it's one or the other, you gotta decide if you want a large collection with most characters represented or a small core group.

    That's fair lol :p
    This is just :bay
Man, Jazz is just beautiful!!!=I can't wait to get mine!!!
For me, it's MPM Prime, but MPM Ironhide and MPM Beetlebee are really badass too!!

Also, found another way to store Scrapmetal's shield in combined mode.

Just tab the tabs on the shield to the circled areas on Hightower. It holds really securely and doesn't look bad at all imo.

I also turned the treads on Hightower upside down, and bent them a bit, just to give him more of "transformed" look.

Also..this is just cool as shit!!!!

    @Lukelbs I'm loving that Megatron!

Awesome pic! SS Ironhide is a great figure but his DNA kit makes him near perfect! The bumper, the feet, ankles and extra weapons all contribute a lot to him. I recommend it, but only if you play with Ironhide. If you just keep him there to display, there isn't much of a point.

Yup, clicked in all the way with the button - it isn’t that part that’s flopping on mine though, it’s just above with where the car hood ends up. That area is way too loose on mine.

It actually did surprise me as I don’t collect MP figures, just the movie MPM line, so being the first human figure in the line... well it’s disappointing to see.
Also, the leg/ torso joint isn’t the problem, it’s just above where the hood of the car sits into the top of his body. Mine has a very loose connection so I’m going to keep with my not massively impressed stance on Jazz. Definitely not amazing for me unfortunately

Tbh, the original concept toys were much more solid, less lightweight, and much more fun to play with than many of these SS figures. I gave up on devys components because I know they're not gonna add the vortex gimmick.

One of the main problems this line has is the fact that Hasbro took away gimmicks from their movieverse toys (or just toys entirely), making these releases super dull and less flattering than they used to. Hasbro's not the company they used to be regarding play factors or toy budgets. If you want some of that old school feel on a TF toy that's actually solid and not cost cutted, you're better off with MPMs.

@Megatron118 I hope you haven't started the fender mod yet. I gave the wrong info. Drill up to the #14 drill bit (0.182"). The one I mentioned earlier (#13 0.185") might be too big.

I suggest doing a test fit at the #14, then go wider if needed.

It’s out yeah. @PrimeVsPrime has a review on it and mine shipped last week it’s just held up in customs. It locks the shoulders, locks the arm panels (which is the bigger problem, IMO), and of course gives him dotm guns, knives, AND Mojo OF COURSE.
That’s a bigger issue. Sorry that’s the case with yours. Maybe try and bend those tabs inward a bit so they keep the figure together better?
Gimmicks suck and are lame most of the time. Give me gimmick-less studio series figures (that actually look like the characters) any day.

This might be a dumb question, but did you actually tab the hood into the body? I personally didn't notice that there was a tab to hold it all securely a lot better, so mine flopped a little right out of the package. Apologies if you've already done that, but it's definitely worth mentioning in case you haven't tried that already.

im glad you also said man....

these are the best movie represented figures we have ever gotten. I still don't understand how some call those 10+ year old technology based toys better than the stuff we are getting now. I mean they're cool for nostalgic reasons.

    completely disagree...

Well personally, I know for a fact gimmicks is not the reason I’m becoming disinterested lol I would much rather have an action figure, that functions, and looks the part, rather than have a figure bogged down by a gimmick. “Transforming” IS the gimmick for me. But I can see where you’re coming from. Even the “Mech-alive” gimmick from the first movie was pretty fun.

*puts on nerd glasses* Mech alive was actually from rotf. The 2007 line had "automorph" as the gimmick and that was cool. I will never prefer any gimmick over an accurate, posable, and good looking figure though.

WELL EXCUSE ME. Lol but yes, I meant auto morph. I remember when bumblebee’s leg transforming as you pulled his foot down was like the second coming lol

When we were kids back in the day; Me and my cousin used to talk a lot about futuristic TF toys heavily inspired by Mech Alive. A line called "Alive Transformers" would be our ideal artificial intelligence figures in the near future that could transform all by itself . Apparently, hasbro won't bring this concept come to life.
