First I've heard about these door/leg ones, guess I'm giving my figure another look too. Hopefully that is the smaller problem I've been sometimes having.
    Thanks.

It looks like the foot tabs are where they need to be. Everything else is solid, I just can't get rid of that last little bit of a rear gap. Oh well.

Is that rear gap only on one side? Never noticed it before so I was talking about something else with the feet tabs but I've got it matched up on one side perfectly and a problem on the other. Have taken some pictures and have a hunch that it has something to do with the fingers but will see if I'm right before I share pictures. But I'll do that eventually either way. No I already think I'm wrong about that will keep looking.

But yeah is the gap just the side you photographed or both?

I won't upload as many pictures as I've taken but you should be able to get the gap better than that. Looking at it from the back, the left side seems to have less of a problem than the right so I wonder whether it's some tolerance thing that varies. I don't know whether I'm right about that and it's worse on yours or whether the gap can be reduced but it's even less noticeable on mine when there's not a camera flash to it.

So this first one doesn't really have a problem
    [IMG]
While this side takes a bit of effort and still has a bit of a noticeable seam at the top, but which is also maybe the width of a fingernail at it's thickest with enough effort.

Thanks about the door tabs anyway, I was accidentely doing them sometimes but it goes together better now that I actually know about them. Still fiddly but yeah.

I'm not sure too much of this is helpful but hope you figure it out.

It's on both sides. If you try to line up one side, the other side pops out even more. If I tried to push it in any harder, I'm definitely going to break it. :(  I've only got a few other studio series, but it seems like they all have that one panel or tab that just won't cooperate in vehicle mode which is how I like to display them (my S/S Starscream is the only exception).

So I just re-watched Emgo's transform video and he seems to have the same slight tail gap (and slightly bulging doors near the rearview mirrors) that I keep ending up with. I think it's just the way this mold is and I'm asking too much perfection out of a $20 figure. Thanks for posting those pics though - I was able to make that gap a little less, uh, gappy with some fiddling.

Yeah it's just kinda figuring out which gaps are because of hidden tabs and which are still there afterwards. In one sense it's upsetting that they don't quite pull it off but on the other hand, there was some small amazement relearning how many little tabs tabs Barricade has. The doors plug into the arms and the legs, or the feet tabs to bring those up again. Both of those things could just sit there, or they could be ROTF levels of difficult. I've got the door bulging problems too, but it's a rarity that figures get worse than that.

I'm feeling a little too positive, so uh, screw the roof of the first Bumblebee.

Anyway, glad you got it down a bit, sounds like that is the best Barricade can do.

I love the look of this figure, but whomever said he really needed a thigh rotation was totally right. I broke out this figure for the first time in a while and he’s not bad by any means but he’s limited in posing for sure. Plus I still hate the stupid mace weapon, but I kinda like it more while folded into the arm:

Barricade was most fans fav bayverse character despite people not knowing if he survived the first film or not only to have him return in dotm and again in the last knight as megstrons second in command.

I love this version and prefer it to the mp.

Has anyone reported on the results from snipping the tabs off of the arms for vehicle mode?

I just picked up this guy over the weekend and having a real hard time getting the vehicle mode to come together. I'm really tempted to snip those tabs to see if it makes things any easier.

For those who have had the gap issues on the bumper, I've come up with a fix for it. It involves shaving down two sections, one on the back of the leg and the other on the bumper part.

Pictures of the fix via Imgur:

Nope. Don't like it. Pins through hinges through clear plastic is an immediate fail for me here. Add in the ball joints made of clear plastic and that's just doubling the chances of accidental breakage.

Then there's the transformation. All those clear plastic bits needing manipulation. All the pressing and prodding to try and get stuff to tab in or line up made more frustrating because all the clear plastic is scary to put any pressure on. The smaller size of the figure/alt doesn't help either. It just makes everything more finicky and fragile.

That rubber bit at the front of the car is worse than useless. The instructions imply that it clicks into place, but that's just impossible. It pings out immediately. Plus mine is slightly warped so it's on the wonk anyway and looks unsightly.

I gave up trying to get everything to close up fully in alt mode. It's just never going to happen. You'd think after all these years Hasbro could car right when doing alt modes. I think this is actually a step backwards compared to even the first movie Barricade.

This figure is definitely one I'll transform (98%) to vehicle and then back to robot and never bother/risk transforming ever again.

I'm more disappointed than anything. Studio Series is supposed to be like the best version of these characters.
Plus I'd have preferred a little Frenzy to be included. They managed it in 2007. Here we just get the spinny shitewheel of meh.

    *is glum*
