    Nice pics.

Just a friendly reminder. This thread here would be better suited to your personal pics: Show off your 3P legends scale figures here!

We try to use the Master thread for new releases/ prototypes / news sort of stuff.

    Thanks!

Think I may have asked this before, so apologies if it’s been covered elsewhere.

I currently have the DX9 dinos on pre-order, but am now wavering as I just think the bigger MFT ones work better for me personally.

Baring in mind they will mainly be displayed in dino mode, how have others found both sets?

My collection is predominantly MST and NA, and that will continue for me.

I do like the dinos to be bigger than Prime, hence why I’m now thinking MFT...

    Cheers guys! :)

Bit surprised at the lack of 3P Legend scale G1 Cliffjumpers.

There's Hot Soldiers, which I own and was deeply disappointed by, and Iron Factory's which is... well, not what most people would be looking for.

The dx9 in bot mode *are* bigger than MS prime (13-14 cm vs 11.5cm if I remember correctly.) The MFT are bigger again by about 2cm ish? I'm also MS/NA and I love the size with dx9 Dino's. That said, the decos are different too. Dx9 has nice blend of silver/chrome/grey with toon yellow for heads which I personally think looks great and is well considered. MFT is either a broad metallic-everything broad brush that some people love but I find heavy/handed, or flat grey/yellow that emulates the toon but the lack of metallics make them look cheap. But everyone has their preference.

i thought they are like 10cm or 11 tops. i think my gt prime was taller than my dx9 grimlock. but it has been ages since i had them. i cant be certain but i do know the MFT bots are all 14cm.

It seems like the companies have started competing with each other when it comes to characters; I'd expect NA and MS to have their own versions in a year or two.
3p legends didn't really seem to be competing head to head(outside of MFT who mostly just OS KO'ing other companies designs) but this year we have two Cosmos, two Hounds, three(?) sets of Datsuns.
And it looks like NA and MS will duke it out over the S1 Decepticons after DX9 and Iron Factory took a crack at most of those characters a year or two ago.

Yeah, you're not wrong. Here's my swoop, who is the smallest of the bunch, still a tad higher than prime, but smaller than I thought.. but it's perfect in my mind, the pics I've seen make the MFT bots feel like a different toy line, especially next to NA.

When I bought my DX9 Dinos, the MFT ones were mostly out. My mental image of the Dinobots is that they are much bigger than the Autobots, not just a bit bigger than Prime. So size wise I like the MFT ones. But what swayed me to the DX9 ones was the finish. The dark gray plastic of MFT may be more cartoon accurate, but I liked DX9's mix of color better - yellow instead of gold but still having a little bit of shine to the gray. They just look better to me.

I'm in no rush to replace them. They more than fill the Dinobot space for me in my Legends collection. BUT I am excited to see what MST may have in store down the line. If they knock it out of the park, I might replace my DX9 figures. I'm less excited to see NA just because I expect they'll be too small for me. :(

I think it's all about how big you want them. I like my Dinobots to be massive devastating forces on the battlefield so I like the MFT size

I’m willing to bet that if NA made them they’d be the same size as the DX9 ones.

Thanks for your input guys. Think as they're already pre-ordered (and slightly cheaper!!), I'll wait for the dx9 ones.
I can always source MFT ones further down the line if that fussed.:)

Looks good mate - just a bit too big for my tastes so I'll stick with NA for my car bots for the mo. :)
